Preapproved with my bank for 5.8%... Debating going to a credit union where I could probably get sub 5%... I'll let you know what Ford offers me if my truck is ever delivered.

I'm curious how many people actually the advertised rate from some of these rock bottom sources. When I apply with 820 credit and sub 10% usage, I still cannot get them. I was seeing sub 5% advertised in February, best I could get was 5.49% and I should be top tier.
Got my pre-approval today and was offered both advertised rates. Actually got better as I got 4% for 60 months and 4.5% for 72 months. My credit score is mid-700s so not top tier.

Location is definitely key, crazy how different rates are across the country. I went with a local credit union, 780 credit score and got 5.9% for 60 months.

A buddy of mine bought a hybrid off the lot recently. 3/2 maybe. He has a 690 - 700. He got a 11% for 84 months 😩😩. These interest rates are ridiculous! I honestly felt bad for him but he really wanted / needed the truck.

What info did you need to get a pre-approval? Did you just tell them what you ordered? Take your window sticker in? Or did you get an out the door price from your dealer first?

I checked with local banks and credit unions and despite having 800+ on every credit report, everything was in the 6%-8% range. I did not allow any hard pulls on my credit but the credit unions were showing best rates they could give, if I qualified. Not sure if I was wanting to finance any of this or not, I did have my dealer do some checking and he was actually able to beat all banks and credit unions with whom I checked. It's not great at 6.19% for 60 or even 72 months if I decide to finance some of the truck. Rate is protected for 60 days (I'm built and waiting to be shipped).

Good luck and if you can, lock in now as rumors are Feds are going to raise the rate one more time which means banks and credit unions will follow suit.

I applied online and just told them how much I was going to finance. I still don't have an OTD price from the dealer so I just had to calculate with the incentives, taxes and my trade-in and then I added $2k as a buffer. Eventually they asked for my pay stub and window sticker and then got my rates. Once the car comes in, the monthly payment will adjust based on the final price.

Appreciate the info! Mines supposedly due in this month so I guess I should get up to my CU and see what they can do.

Yeah, I bank with Fairwinds Credit Union but wouldn't give me as good of a rate or match so I joined ECU specifically for the loan. She just emailed me back that because I have a large down payment the loan will be for less than 80% of the vehicle and the rates should be closer to 3.75% and 4.25%. Can't beat that at all

I know… poor guy. Hopefully interest rates drop when the presidential election comes around and he can refinance.

As of this AM, Navy Federal remains at 4.74% for 60 months.

Do note that the FED is meeting 3/21-3/22 and a 0.5% rate hike is expected. Lock in your rate if you can!
