Hitting a slight issue with taking delivery of my Maverick. Since my pricing is based on invoice, not MSRP and the dealer wants to charge me the extra $500. The vehicle was built on 1/24 and shipped on 1/27 before the price increase. The window sticker has a date of 1/18. The question is when does Ford invoice the vehicle to the dealer and what date? I thought this wouldn't be an issue for me and well here we are. Still, a good discount but $500 can help pay for the bedliner. Oh and still waiting for Ford to fix the private offer that's not showing up.

Invoice is generated shortly before the vehicle is built (when the window sticker is generated). Technically price protection should still apply which effectively adjusts the invoice price.

Ford should make this clear. Lot's of confusion on what price should be. Do orders placed before the price increase have price protection? (Which is pretty much every order) Or does the price increase affect every Ford Maverick that was not built before 1 Feb 2023. Including those 22MY that had VINs and were changed to 23MY in November. My salesman says the special offer of $2750 was in lieu of price protection. So I am out another $500 because my vehicle could not be scheduled for production in time?

All orders placed before the price increase to be taken delivery by the original order-holder have price protection unless there was a modification to the order that changes the body code.

The private offer was in lieu of a more granular price protection between the model years, but doesn't affect price protection within the model year.

So are you saying that your dealer claims your invoice shows the $500 price increase? Mine was built on 1/9 and shipped 1/11 but still hasn’t arrived, so I may be in this exact same predicament.

Is there a memo or statement from Ford that says this? Because my dealer is charging me the $400 + $100 increase.

My issue has now been resolved, the final invoice price was done before 1/31, dealer adjusted the price. Please note I knew price protection would not apply in my case when placing the order. I was lucky it was all done before 1/31. A few days later and I would be out of luck.

Sounds like you ordered from Chapman Horsham, then, with their 3% off billable invoice rather than order-time value.
