Did MSRP and delivery prices go up?

I ordered my hybrid maverick XLT in September '22. MSRP was $24,455 and delivery was $1,495. I just called my dealer to remove the trailer hitch hoping that it would help get my order scheduled. He sent over a new order summary and now MSRP is $24,855 and delivery is $1,595. When did prices go up? Am I gonna have to pay those increases no matter what? I thought the price was locked in when I signed. Or do the price increases only apply if I change my order? Do I really have to pay $500 to remove a $100 option?

THEORETICALLY, you are price-protected from that 2/1/23 increase...but I wouldn't count on all ducks lining up correctly for that to happen. I'd not change-up at this date on an XLT or Lariat.

I don't wanna do it, but I'd rather pay the extra money than not get scheduled. The hitch is the main constraint... aside from the hybrid drivetrain.

I believe you are locked as long as you don't change the drivetrain (or trim, maybe?). So, as long as you keep the hybrid and not go EB, you should be good to go. It's just that anything you add going forward will be at the new higher prices but the original order should be good.

@fordvideoguy could likely clarify the policy a little better. But your bill of sale upon delivery should reflect the original costs.

I'd keep the hitch as you seemed to be an earlier order, but understand taking it off. Keep your original DORA. Tim Bartz @fordvideoguy shows the simple step the dealer needs to do. Could not find the picture, but is basically a check box for Order Date vs Sales Date.

Thanks, I hope you're right. Still waiting to hear back from my dealer. I haven't signed the new order yet, so I'm still locked in at the old price... with the hitch. I won't sign a new order (sans hitch) till I know the price increases won't apply.
