Wow - Now you know why one does not ask - "did I screw up " on this forum - hahahaha check out car-parts.com or ebay for a wheel - might be better to wait a bit and live with it until more wheels are available and just get the alignment checked. No comment on the video as I was not there and the idiot clearly came into your lane. Near misses suck. Heres one on Ebay for 330.00 shipped - Maverick XLT Rim On Ebay
This salvage yard in Indiana is asking 100.00 per rim - Adams Auto Salvage- 260-215-6020

Yeah, you over-corrected into the curb but that ass-hat definitely ran the stop sign. Stop means stop. People are just to self-focused to follow that simple law. Perhaps it would be better if stop signs on slow roads are replaced with yield signs so people would know when it was safe to do a "rolling stop" (which is just lazy-ass for "I try to justify why I don't follow the law")

Yes, we all pick and choose what laws we follow even though we shouldn't. But to all those who say "He pulled out a little far", go look at the video again. That driver didn't stop until he had 3 and maybe 4 wheels actually IN the lane of travel. Basically, he ran the stop sign and then stopped in the lane. True idiot who probably panicked when he realized he should have stopped about 20 feet ago (either at the white stripe or the base of the stop sign if the stripe is absent).

I'm a motorcycle rider so stop sign runners have a special place on the list of idiots in my book. I don't road rage, I just internally think about how dumb or irresponsible that person is.

I had road rash on a rim, prior car. Dealer had it fixed. Could never tell it was fixed. Should be way cheaper than buying another rim and swapping the tire. Either way, it probably should be rebalanced

It wasn't an overcorrection, he was on the gas all the way to the curb. I can picture OP inadvertently pulling the wheel right from turning around and flipping him the bird while speeding away. Hard to blame him though, if the white car was gonna pull that move they have to commit, coming to a dead stop in the lane was the worst reaction to their mistake.

Find a place that does wheel repairs, or replace it if you're concerned about the looks, but if it's not losing any air pressure it's most likely functionally fine. If it tracks straight and there are no vibrations, your alignment is probably also fine too. But keep in mind if it's not, you risk premature tire, tierod, and balljoint failure. So it really comes down to how much you want to risk. If it was me personally, I'd just keep driving it as long as nothing feels off with it.

Dave, try AWRS. alloy wheel repair service. They came to my house and removed wheel and tire on my Ranger and brought them back the next day repaired and balanced for about $150. They seem to be in NJ,NY,DE and PA. Bret

It was free. I noticed after getting my tires replaced. So it wasn’t clear if I curbed it, or a result of their tire machine. So they just took care of it. One of the many reasons I love my dealership.
