How do you get your Fordpass rewards applied to your account?

As the title says, I have a Maverick scheduled to be built next month. Once it's built, I want to use the ~40,000 fordpass points from purchasing it to buy something, but how does Ford assign those points to my account? As far as I can see when I login, there is no vehicles assigned.

You should be able to add the vehicle to your account since you have the VIN. At taking delivery your salesperson will probably have you link your phone+app to the truck. With the vehicle being marked as sold then Ford should credit your account in 1-3 weeks. Although I believe the dealer can also claim the points immediately for add-ons (accessories, ESP).

Ford Pass points won’t show up in your account until after you receive (pay for/sign contract) the vehicle and take it home. Your dealer should go over the Ford Pass system when you sit down to do the paper work. (If not … then ask. )

You can go ahead and download the FordPass app to your phone ahead of time, if you’d like to be prepared. You should be able to sign in using your online Ford account info and VIN It just won’t show any points yet.

We picked up our Maverick two weeks ago. I think it was four or five days until the points showed up in the app and in the online account.

Patience! But then, as a soon-to- be Maverick owner, you must already have lots of that….

I've purchased mine three weeks ego and have not received the points as of yet. When I called and inquire about the points, the woman stated, that it'll take a month or so from the date of purchase. I'll wait couple of weeks to see, if she is right, or the dealer screwed me over. I don't recall any "dealer addons", don't believe in them...

Talk to your dealer. They have to actually file the thing with Ford with your VIN.

My points showed up after just four days or so after taking delivery.

Well, I've jumped to conclusion too early, my apologies dealers... well, at least in this case to my dealer...

I didn't call my dealer, instead called FordPass. According to the customer service rep, I purchased my Mavrick on January 31st, the actual date on the invoice, instead of February 1st that had been the pick up date. The 42,000 reward point had been issued on the 31st, but not to my current account that used for installing the FordPass app on my cell phone. After going through on couple of identification, she will move the reward points from an old account to my current one. She gave me a case #, that I can use if the transfer had not taken place during the next 3 - 4 days. I'll draw the conclusion after check the reward points next Monday, no reason to jump around again...

As a side note... Reaching FordPass customer service didn't take long at all and she's been polite and helpful. It was pleasantly surprising coming accross a customer service like that nowadays...

Update...

The reward points had been transferred to my active account a day later, also showed up in the FordPass app. I'd say that is great customer service...
