I wonder what actual participation anyone from Dearborn will have in engine development other than slapping a "Ford" sticker on the engine cover in return for bags of cash.

I would recon its not going to be much more than that. They may lend some technical expertise on material science I would presume along with data science. Red Bull will probably let Ford handle the Sticker production and placement as they have way more experience in that department with all the years of slapping fake headlights and grill on NASCAR.

Back when it was Ford vs. Ferrari, and up until 2004, they had a separate division for their F1 engine, and they have 3 ish years to develop a new engine for their 2026 standards
