Sup y’all! Just attached a roof rack for some kayaks. I used the following products from Yakima.

Yakima Corebar
Yakima Baseline Towers

keep it versatile homies!

For bed racks, you could consider the Truxedo TS Rails, and Truxedo Elevate rack. Rails are about $180. Rack is about $700. Then the tonneau is anywhere from $400 to $1200 depending on what you want.

I have the rails and Pro X15 cover. Installing them as soon as truck comes in. Then will likely get cheap bars for now, see how it goes, and may upgrade to elevate rack down the road.
I'm not following which setup is on the truck I have a Bonafide SS127 Kayak and need a beefy rack in the bed. What rack is pictured and how is it attached to the Truck? Thanks

If you mean Weatherman's, it's and Angry Ant. See brand, sounds like they make good stuff. Used to be cheaper than Truxedo system, but looks like more expensive now. If you are needing a rack to get up high so your kayak can go over the roof, you will need the Elevate rack or similar.

If you have, or may get, a tonneau cover it complicates things. There are a slew of racks that clamp to the side bed rails but those don't work with a cover. With a tonneau cover, you will need T Slots.

Some retractable covers come with T Slots built in (pretty pricey). If not, you should look to buy the Truxedo TS Rails. The Maverick uses the 50" rails, same as the Jeep Gladiator. You can buy these from any number of places including Realtruck, Amazon, etc. They'll be about $180 and comes with 4 tie down cleats as well.

For the rack, there are a number of ones you can buy. The Truxedo Elevate is about $700 and mounts in the slots. There are others as well, most more expensive. There are much cheaper cross bars but they wouldn't clear the cab roof.

For the tonneau, you'll need one that fits between the rails. These are frequently called low profile. They come in roll up (hard and soft), retractable, as well as Trifold. The low profile tend to be more expensive, but higher quality as well. One issue is the Trifold typically cannot open all the way to the cab window with the Elevate rack installed. This is one advantage of the roll ups. I have the Pro X15 which is a soft roll up and certified to work with the TS Rails. There's a list on Truxedo website of what they have tested, but most low profile ones that fit between the bed rails should work.

I used roof top carrier's for years, all did damage the paint as least a little.
Due to the short bed on the Maverick, I used a extender for longer trips, and for local lakes I just tie them in and let them over hang the tailgate.

Found your post, as I am considering an attempt to carry three 10 ft kayaks locally… based on your experiences can you share your thoughts/advice re: my tying three kayaks into my Maverick bed, no racks? Thanks.

I have a Yakima roof rack that I used on my f150 . Only needed one for front of cab because had a capper with rack on back . used to haul canoe and aluminum row boat at different times . It fits the maverick after adjusting the mounts/towers on cross bar . Haven't needed it yet . would use it with hitch mount extension if needed .

Looks good. I have a Yakima Overhaul HD setup from my Ranger that I'll use on my Maverick for kayaks and ski racks since I already have them.

Might be difficult with no rack, 2 is doable for short trips, but tying down the third, might be a problem. Going to our close lakes I don’t use the rack, but when take them up to north Georgia I have to use the rack because they will move around.

Not the person you asked, but I've had no problems with a bed extender and 14 foot kayak or two.

This was our 4th of July family outing, the orange boat is 14, Yellow is twelve,

Both are 14 footers.
Not everyone will be as comfortable doing this, I've done it for years without a comment from the police and I'm in a fairly large city.
