So truck just showed up. picking up in a few days. so they want me to get extended warranty. 2300 to get it to 5 year bumper to bumper from the stock 3 year. I really am not sure about that if its wirth it or not. The rust protection I dropped as its the one u plug into a odb2 port , like ya no.

But ya wanted to ask what others are doing for these end of sales add on. they worth it or run away screaming. No not accessories, just the extended warranty's and such.

$26,300 additional Canadian $ to extend the OEM warranty to 5 years?

What in the world would a OBD2 port have to do with rust protection?

I bought a warranty. Bought a bed mat, tail gate dampener and hood deflector with points and cash.

You’re call, but you don’t have buy anything. I passed on everything, and then went to one of the other dealers mentioned on this forum: Granger Ford I believe. My dealer wanted like $3200 for 6/60K premium care coverage. Picked up a 7/100K from Granger with headlight package for $1100. It works for me 😎

I agree 100%. When I go in to get my Maverick I have a price quote from Granger and Flood Ford. I know exactly what I want. Nothing more - nothing less. Simple, I’m going to just say, if you give me the extended warranty for the same price as Granger or Flood Ford then I’ll buy it from you, keeping all my business local. HOWEVER, if dealer can’t or won’t match price, then I’m taking my business to Granger.

If you want an extended warranty search this forum - there were many discount options. At the time you are buying the truck your friendly "finance manager" is doing everything possible to extract as much money from your wallet as possible. 💴

They are not your "friend" they aren't "looking out for you" offering you an extended warranty, permaplate, nitrogen filled tires, ceramic coating, security packages, Ford approved snake oil - If you aren't paying cash go get financing at a local credit union before going to pick up your truck because they too will add percentage points to your loan - I guess what Im trying to say is GET OUT of the dealership with the truck at the lowest % rate you can find somewhere else ( unless they can match it ) then get what you want later - you will save money.

is the headlight package to do LED change outs when needed? I was thinking that is all I want from a any of the warranty items anyway, but $1100 for 7/100k is a pretty good deal!

The light package would cover the headlight assembly (all one piece. If one side goes out, the entire front lights assembly must be replaced). The cost from what I am hearing is at least $1000 🙄

Hi, I pasted on the extended warranty but I did get the 7 yr 150km maintenance plan. I had the same plan on my 2012 Focus and did save a little vs paying for oil changes, brake jobs, etc. Yes it would be cheaper if I did the work myself but I have limited space to work on a car and if Ford does all the maintenance it helps on resale.

Extended warrantees are against my religion.
It's really a no brainer IF the vehicle is going to be sold or traded in on another vehicle within 3 yrs or 36K miles, not to get an extended warranty. Factory warranty has you covered. However if keeping the vehicle an extended period of time, an extended warranty should perhaps be examined a little more closely. Cars of today are computers on wheels. I for one am not a DIY. I plan on keeping my vehicle up to 100K miles. Therefore my religion recommends being prudent and covering my rear with a good warranty. I for one will be getting my warranty from Granger Ford. Price for what I want is very reasonable and worth it in the long run for if not anything, peace of mind. To each their own. Be true to your warranty religion, whatever that may be. 🤔
