Got the call from my dealer that my XLT Hybrid was delivered yesterday!

I originally ordered 11/10/2021 and then rolled over to a 2023 on 9/20/2022.

Only options are hitch receiver and in cab inverter.

BUT...I haven't received my private offer from Ford with the certificate to knock off $2,750 (2023 price increase offset). Turned out, the dealer typed in my zip code wrong. Apparently, Ford looks at last name and zip for certificates (from what Ford marketing told me).

The dealer is trying to get it corrected through the district manager. So today was pre-delivery inspection and tomorrow is detailing and hopefully the certificate.

I'm not too encouraged but hopeful. It's obvious my order was in as a 2022 and then as a 2023 (he can see both in the system and I have paperwork for both orders)....not sure if this technicality is going to be a pain.

I'll post an update when I find out.

Got the Maverick home! The dealer was able to resolve the incorrect info with my private offer so I was able to get the 2023 at the 2022 price.

For me, the X-Plan knocked off about $270.

The dealer was straight up, didn't sell me anything, didn't pre-install anything...pretty painless.

Pretty sweet. Ordered before you and still waiting. No 2023 sticker yet but confirmed Priority 2. Same options as well. What happened to built in order of ordering.....LOL.

My dealer could not find our Private Offer either. They said they needed a VIN to look it up (contrary to what Tim says). So we wait...... Hopefully with a VIN soon so the dealer can confirm that prior to delivery. We are going to love taking delivery in saltly roads in February. I hope my son likes his accessories (flaps and deflector) I got him for Xmas. At least he will have a piece of a Maverick.....

Sweet!!! Congratulations!!! So you got a '23 Maverick? Would you post pictures of the interior & exterior please?

I presume it looks the exact same. What's the difference between the '22 & '23? Does anyone know?

Nothing.

The only Maverick that is significantly different is the Tremor versions. The Tremor has a different AWD system and I believe different suspension.

Other than that, there are new cosmetic options, but the 22 and 23 are identical.

My MY23 (originally ordered Jan 2022) was to be built yesterday. Ford Marketing said they saw no Private Offer for me. My dealer has not been helpful at all. A couple of days ago I went to another Ford dealer and spoke with their Sales Manager. He was optimistic that Ford would eventually come through for me in spite of my dealer being no help. He did not have any advice for me regarding what I could do in the meantime, other than be hopeful.

This has been the MOST intense vehicle purchase I've ever made, by far. The last 25 years I've gotten something off the lot. There were plenty to choose from and I was always happy. Between educating myself and my dealer, learning the nuances of the system, the false starts and changes I'm friggin worn out. I've spent less time pursuing a woman. And THAT'S time consuming, let's just hope there's a happy ending on this one.

Well, Ford took its sweet time getting the truck to my dealer…which they just did by the last date they said it would be there. Now I just emailed, yet again, the sales manager asking him to get Ford to fix the ā€˜offer’ he was able to get. Seems my dealer screwed up and did not do the COVP for my 2022 build. He said he got a ā€˜Lease’ offer from Ford for me but not a ā€˜rebate’ offer. My 2022 build rolled over into a 2023 build.

Honestly, I had thought the rebate offer was simply a ā€˜thank you’ from Ford for making us wait for over a year to get the truck vs a ā€˜you have to pay a higher price because it is now a 2023 build’ and not a 2022 build. Guess I am still a bit confused on that point.

I am excited, though honestly not that much of a truck guy. I did like my 2nd gen Ridgeline but always felt the under bed storage was a bit of a pain along with access to the bed due to side height though tail gate side opening was nice. Of course that trucks mpg was not great.

More a hybrid type person yet I am thinking this ā€˜small’ truck form factor will hit the sweet spot of comfort, for a truck, plus open bed space the 2022 highlander cannot offer. I realize it won’t would be as smooth a ride, though not bad by any means for a truck, Though too the mpg should be great around town.

Got a drop-in bed liner sent to a dealer near me awaiting my truck for install. Once purchased figure some days later will get points awarded though maybe not in time to order items on ford site by 1/31 which is date their 18% off orders offer expires.

Probably only order the tail gate shock so hoping not a pain to install (thinking read something about threading a bolt before installing it or some such thing). Maybe also order the Ford mud flaps. That plus check this site for after market rubber floor mats, forget the brand I saw prior.

Area 51 color, an old girl friend did not have kind words about that color. Guess I will show her it near sunset time when they color looks darker lol.

Wish I had added the sunroof but will live without it this time around. Sliding manual rear window will have to do the trick though wish someone MacGyver a way to slide it open or closed from the front seat. Maybe a wooden stick of some sort.

Enjoy your rides, as I likewise hope to enjoy my XLT Hybrid.

See, you made the mistake of thinking a company is doing what's good for their customers and long term growth vs doing what's good for their short term bottom line.

Whoever signed off on the whole private offer BS should be fired.
