I have heard that fordrangerlifts has a compatible spacer. Ya already got tuned springs and shocks so might aswell go with a spacer for a combo lift. If you can lift it another 2" then you will have a pretty decent lift over a standard FX4 and be set to fit 31s.

Update. Just checked its a 2.25" kit. The front is a strut spacer and the rear is a combo of coil and crossmember spacer and trailing arm alignment spacer. A perfectly level lift kit.

Estimated level of difficulty to install? I consider myself a semi competent, meaning I can follow a YouTube video and figure it out haha. I've never done a lift install before though.

Can it fit 31" tires without trimming of liners and pinch welds? I see people saying things like 31 and 32 inch tires all the time with a lift but I've also noticed that even with most 30.5" tires people have to trim liners and pinch welds even with a 2"+ lift. I mention it because not everyone might be aware of this requirement and even the ford ranger lift site says anything over a 30" tire will require modifications for proper fit.

I definitely believe their site when it says some trimming will need to be done even with the lift haha. I'm guessing it all depends on the tire too. Their site does list the tire sizes out and specifies which will need trimming for sure. I'm gonna be rocking an odd look for while if I get this lift because I can't afford both tires and the lift currently so I might just end up waiting.

Hopefully tire prices will come back down to reality if you do wait. I purchased tires for my Maverick last May when I replaced the steelies, I went with 235/65R18 Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires and paid about $190 each at Discount Tire. Those same exact tires are $240 each now which is an insane price increase:

Those tires are legit- Had them on our old highlander- Paying $1100 OTD on A/T tires with installation is a bit much.

Most 31s so far have stated they needed trimming, but 30.5s fit so maybe there is wiggle room with small 31s. Also the wild card is the Tremor, no one has tried bigger tires yet so we will have to find out. Im gonna try either 245/70s or 255/70s once my stocks run low. I beleive someone who hadnt gone offroading yet said a 255/70 fit. I also really want to run Maxxis Bighorns and get all the proper traction I can.

If you own a jack stand and a jack you are already dangerous enough for any of that install. Plus there are plenty of good videos these days on the process. Only thing you gotta be carefull with is the front strut because its spring is under pressure and maybe the rear subframe spacers. That may require 2 jack stands and keeping an eye on brake lines.

I think the only 30.5" tires confirmed to fit without trimming so far are the Toyo Open Country At3 and Falken Wildpeak AT3W for some reason. Other brands and models don't seem to work from what I've read here so I guess those two are actually manufactured slightly smaller than 30.5" or have a different tread/shoulder profile or something. There may be other brand/models that do fit though that nobody has tried yet. The good thing is that it doesn't require a ton of modification to get those sizes to fit right, not like some Tacoma owners do cutting off sheet metal and welding other parts on to fit massive tires. At least if done right the pinch welds and fender liners can be altered easily and without any degradation to the integrity of the unibody structure

The nice thing about the Toyo in 245/70R17 aside from perfect fitment is that they're fairly light for the size at 35lbs compared to 39lbs for the Falkens but based on what you say about your land in Hawaii it doesn't sound like they would cut it

If you check the reviews of the Tremor you'll hear from some that they don't feel a lift kit is necessary and might off-balance the truck. I'd proceed with caution. I believe Ford engineers designed the Tremor to be the best it could be as far as suspension/engine/power train/ and the onboard computer was designed to handle different road conditions based on what they designed. In my experience, when one start tinkering with these elements, there's going to be a drawback somewhere, especially with today's automobiles.

The main reason I want a lift is to have bigger tires, and more ground clearance. Last week I got stuck in the snow for the first time in my life just driving back roads in Wyoming to avoid an interstate closure. Granted I had zero recovery gear so it was all my fault. I just felt like the truck should have been able to get out of it. It always felt like it was right about to get out of it. So naturally I blame the trucks capabilities and not the idiot driving it haha.

FX4 ? Which tires ? Pretty happy with the 1.8 inch + H/R springs- It really helped in getting the front snowplow bumper off the ground.

I have a Tremor package, I was stuck halfway in a ditch on a drift. Used to driving in the snow in Wisconsin where we don't have 3ft snow drifts like Wyoming haha. The snow was to the frame of the truck on one side, I was trying to pass a semi and Durango stuck in the right lane taking up some of the left lane. The semi already had called a tow truck, but believe me when I say I spent that entire time waiting trying to get un-stuck haha.
