Maverick Wheelbase vs Bronco Sport

If I am correct, the Maverick is built on the same frame as the Bronco Sport. The technical specifications on the Ford website of the Bronco Sport list a wheel base of 105.1 inches. The technical specifications for the Maverick shows a wheelbase of 121.1 inches. I am confused as to how they can use the same frame given the large differences in the wheelbase. Can someone enlighten me? Thank you!

It’s the same platform, not the same frame. Think of it as being modular, like legos. If you want your LEGOmobile to be longer, you add some more material. Same basic design of the chassis but just stretched.

BTW, I believe the Maverick wheel base is 114”.

Yeah, I looked again and I see 121” as well. I don’t recall where I saw 114” but it doesn’t surprise me since in the first couple days the media was throwing around a few wrong numbers until the official spec sheet was posted for all to see.
