Guy, I'm well aware of what a machined face is but it's a little pointless to call it a machined face if it's painted. MOST alloy wheels go through some level of machining to get a finished product so are we just calling all alloy wheels machine faced now? I meant 20K more than the Maverick... Sure there are other features to the vehicle, but your point was trying to get the nice interior. Regardless of the other features, to get that particular interior, you'd have to buy that truck at 46k, whereas the Maverick is 26k. I knew what you were saying.

I don't think some people realize that since this is the cheapest truck on the market, it's going to come with limited options and lack performance compared to higher price vehicles. Either save money and get what you pay for or pay more and get what you want. That old chestnut!

It was pretty obvious the point was joking about getting the interior in his pic, on the Maverick. Other features did not matter and you went on and on detailing a paragraph of them, when I wasn't referring to them at all. Maybe you should have replied to his comment directly instead of mine, that would have made more sense.

There's no question in my mind the Santa Cruz looks cooler than the Maverick. Unfortunately I think the Maverick performs better. In a way it's a good thing... I'm saving money

That part doesn't bother me. This is my first pick up. I like it, but would have gotten the Santa Cruz if it was apples to apples in performance.

We have to be honest here though, the Maverick is popular because of the price. There's a ton of versatility with this truck though and a lot of 'truck' people like it for their small businesses and light duty hauling... Funny thing is I don't use it for any of that, nor off-road or street race... I just like it cuz it's cheap lol.

Neither powertrain of the Santa Cruz has a CVT. You may have driven the naturally aspirated version whose motor is notoriously underperforming. The Turbocharged powertrain has a dual clutch transmission.

I ordered the BAP XLT because I hate the standard blue & orange interior. Thought the BAP seats and much of the interior were black or dark grey. I didn't even like the BAP exterior much, especially the black wheels.
But my 2023 is already in production. Can't change anything now..
So I've gone from being exited, to not sure I'll buy it.
Might end up keeping the base XL Eco I've had since 10/6/2021.
Hum.. but then I've got a $2750 special offer waiting to be used.
