🔎 Closeup pics of Black Appearance Package BAP parts on 2023 Maverick XLT

This pretty much the seats without the yellow snitching ??

I thought whatever trim level (XLT or Lariat) you opt for with the Tremor package included, the seats come with the ActiveX material. Did I miss something?

It just looks odd with the dash and all the hard plastic still being blue.

I figured BAP on every trim would have the same seats. I was expecting the black vinyl fake leather stuff on the lariat my wife is getting.

I skipped on the BAP and I feel good about it. Those wheels look pretty meh. Maybe they are just dirty but they look cheap in the pictures I have seen. I also wanted the orange accents with the XLT interior and I didn't want to give that up for the black accents and wheels.

My plan is the hyperdip the grill bar and then buy someones FX4 wheels. I wish I could have just ordered the FX4 wheels. But it's Hybrid or bust.

Here, I took your picture and turned it black and white and turned the brightness down... still not black.

The point isn't how dark it actually looks in real life. The point is, the renderings on Ford's build and price has everyone believing the seats were going to be some form of a SOLID black, whether that be a light black or a pitch black, nothing about those renderings implied they were going to be some sort of heather...

I hear ya, I was only at the dealership for a few minutes to snap those pick's. I see in another forum, someone posted Tremor pics. Lariat mind you, not XLT so the seats are different, but I think the door panels, handles etc are shared with the BAP. That comment should freak some people out. Once I have mine home tomorrow i will compare it to the Tremor post. Keep you posted.

Ya, you pretty much get BAP with tremor as well. Tremor XLT is a great deal.

The lariat with BAP will get the black Active-X seats.

The XLT BAP interior is the XLT Tremor interior with black stitching instead of yellow and without the Tremor badging on the seats.

The Lariat BAP interior is the Lariat Tremor interior with black stitching instead of yellow and without the Tremor badging on the seats.

It looks like Ford was able to make 4 "new" interiors this way by only making 2 new interiors and only having to change the stitching. By doing so they are killing 4 birds with 2 stones.

It's funny you said that because I just wrote a message in the forum "BAP Black Appearance Package 2023 Maverick spotted! Front, Back & Interior!" (Page 14) saying the same thing. I've never been so frustrated with a vehicle purchase in my life! I'm hoping there are some legal experts on here that can shed some light!

I've never been so frustrated with a vehicle purchase in my life! I'm hoping there are some legal experts on here that can shed some light!

When the order banks opened this sept, many went in with no clue of what the BAP looked like. There’s also a disclaimer abt the pics FORD displays: “ Vehicle images displayed are computer generated graphics and are not photos of the vehicle. They are only a facile and may not exactly represent your vehicle.”

Yeah we all went in blind. Ford should have made a prototype first, but because of the popularity of the truck, we have had no choice but to order blindly. Based on what you said it sounds like it's either buy the truck the way they make it or walk away. So unfortunate.

I personally thinks it looks like an XL interior with uglier seats.
Why not buy an XL, wrap your mirror caps, and get some better looking black rims? You'd still be saving a lot of money.

What a crappy day in Toronto, actually most of Ontario today. Snowy and blowy.
Picked up my Maverick this morning. It's clean now so I think the pictures are better.
Having a longer look this time I would say the seats are more grey than black. I still really like this interior.
