I just passed my 1 year mark with my xl eco awd. I got it with a moonroof, soft trifold cover, 4k tow, and all weather mats.

I have been extremely satisfied with the truck overall. It’s the perfect truck for my lifestyle and work. It fits in my garage too!

Only a few minor complaints, but they are minor so not worth mentioning. My only real issue is with the infotainment system, it truly sucks! Delayed response, glitches, freezes….
I’ve learned to work with it.

Some things I’ve added in the past year:
12 volt plugs in the bed
DIY bed rails
Thule roof rack
Auto dimming home link rear view mirror
replaced speakers and added a small powered subwoofer
I’m in the process of installing heated seats. I have the pads in, just running the wiring now.

Next up, cruise control.

Really is a great truck, better with these pretty basic add ons.

You've driven 13,000 more miles in a year than our explorer has in 7 years. Dang dude.

I love that song!

Do you tow much? Do you think getting the 4k tow set up was worth it?

Thanks
I tow a small utility trailer all the time, haven’t needed the brake controller yet but I will be in charge of towing the trailer for my son’s Boy Scout troop, that has brakes, we’ll see then.

I just got home from towing a Triton two-place clamshell snowmobile trailer containing one snowmobile with the Maverick. It did very well, performance-wise, in Tow Mode. I had to go up and over a decent size ridge to get down into the valley on the other side, and the Maverick handled it with ease.

There was one big problem though: the trailer was much wider than the Maverick and I needed extension mirrors if I wanted to see anything behind me. I don't have a set (yet). The trip was only 11 miles, so I crossed my fingers and winged it.

I didn't have a lot of choice... we're under a winter storm warning for tonight and tomorrow (up to 18" of snow) and have another big storm forecasted for later in the week. It's my buddy's trailer and snowmobile and it needs to be up in the yard at his vacation home for the winter. He couldn't make it up here so I had to do it before the snow starts falling tonight!

I see you live in New England. How is the rust situation so far?

I didn’t have to remove the seats. I mostly followed this video.

Hog wires are a common upholstery connection (as I found out). The video suggests just cutting away the fabric that connects to these wires but I decided to use almost all of them. Theee we’re a few other videos I checked to confirm how I was doing this, I don’t recall those though.
I think I’ll install the switches on either side of the 12 volt outlet.

Please keep us posted on how you wired the seats and how the pad installation went.
I watched a bunch of other videos and hope to do this mod.
Thanks

I have over 32,000 miles on my cyber orange Lariat and haven't had any issues at all.The interior still looks great and gets lots of compliments too. People love that it isn't the usual looking interior and that it has character to it.

I swear, I get stopped everyday with someone asking me about it. It’s pretty amusing.

I'm very surprised... the first day I drove my Maverick, someone approached me at a gas station and commented on it (they had one on order). But since then, not a word or a long look from anyone, and I have not seen a single Maverick yet in my area! Mine must be invisible!
