My truck just sitting in Wilmington now, "pending pickup" by United Road. No scheduled pickup or delivery date...

I have been following your posts with great interest.

It reminds me of "The Perils of Pauline". Even has railroads.

Hopefully this drama is nearing it's happy ending!

Unfortunately, still no scheduled pickup as of now for my truck or the Bronco Sport that came in with it. Just sitting in Wilmington. I had mentioned in a previous post that I talked to a salesman at another Ford dealer in my area who took delivery of his personal Maverick just a couple weeks ago. He told me it took almost a MONTH to arrive on the lot after arriving in Wilmington. So, that does not inspire great confidence. My dealer told me he has requested a "hot ticket" or whatever for my truck, but that doesn't appear to be lighting a fire under anyone at United Road.

Also, FWIW, when I registered for United Road access, there were 11 vehicles (F-150s and Explorers) awaiting transit from two different rail yards in New Jersey to the dealer. In the past 5 of 6 days, ALL of those vehicles have either been delivered or are currently on a truck on the way to the dealer. But the two vehicles sitting in Wilmington haven't even been given a delivery estimate. Again, not making me feel good about my prospects.

All I can do at this point is hope and wait. Day 320 and counting. Maybe next week??????

Like I mentioned, mine sat in Wilmington for a week and I watched so many Escapes and Bronco Sports come in after mine and get delivered first to the dealer. My father's has also been sitting in Wilmington for the same amount of time as yours since they were on the same train. If I had to guess, being so close to the end of the year, many dealers are going to prioritize getting higher MSRP vehicles on their lot first to get them out the door and further pad their annual sales numbers but that's just a theory. That's how I would do it if I were a dealer but who knows.

OMG, a fellow Geezer!! I made reference to The Perils of Pauline at work recently, and the young pups had no earthly idea what I was talking about. Kids don't appreciate the classics, lol!

My truck is still at the terminal in Newark along with 3 Bronco Sports headed to my dealer. I guess United Road doesn't work on Saturdays. Hoping they get picked up and delivered on Monday.

So I talked with ford chat yesterday and they said it was picked up by a carrier, does that mean it’s being transported to the dealer?

Yes, I believe so. Keep an eye on the online order tracker. When it changes to "Final Preparation" that means your truck has arrived at the dealer.
