I have waited patiently for my Hybrid Lariat order since September 2021. It's been assigned a 22my VIN and assigned a production date only to be pushed back 7 times before being cancelled by Ford. As a 23my it has again been assigned a VIN and scheduled for production in January 2023. The reason I am walking is the dealer refuses to track down the Transitional Private Offer in the amount of $2750.

I have contacted Customer Service and marketing numerous times and they both agree that I am in the right but they say there is nothing they can do since it is a dealer issue. The self professed Maverick expert at CS (Heather) says only the dealer can correct this and she knows of a resource other than the inventory manager but she won't share that with me the customer.

The dealer sales manager read me an email today from his inventory manager that says if there is no certificate number there is nothing he can do. I truly believe that the dealer has no incentive to do the leg work for this knowing I will not buy the truck for $3k over what I was promised in 2021 and he will now have the opportunity to sell it to a desperate customer for $5k over MSRP.

I don't blame Ford; even though their reorder process is F'ed up, I blame my dealer Sheehy Ford Springfield Va. Funny thing is last month a salesman at the stealership told me he still has a personal outstanding Maverick order from 2021 - I wonder if he plans to bend over with vaseline for his purchase.

Tonight I went to another Ford dealer and picked up a 2022 Mustang in eruption green with a 6 speed. I don't think I will miss my Maverick much. No reason to get mad over this; it's just a F'ing truck.

Man that sucks. This really is a pain in the ass. A Mustang isn’t a terrible consolation prize but it can’t tow for shit.

Best of luck.

The dealer did not follow the process as determined by Ford Motor Company. The process was not very clear. However, there were few dealers with orders that were not rolled over correctly. Did dealer intentionally not follow the rollover process hoping for more unhappy customers turning in their Mavericks or was it just due to inability (stupidity) to follow directions. Who knows?? It would be interesting to now if there were other rollovers at your dealer and were theirs done correctly?? Sorry service either way!!

The dealer is just gonna take your maverick and sell to someone else. You should have just taken the truck, dumped to CarMax, take the profit and then buy the mustang.

bro if I got a vin and it didn’t go threw I would be heartbroken. I did talk to the customer rep for Ford hotline and she did say that there is a shortage of tow hitches right now but if the tow hitches including the package, I don’t know how you can or what can be done about that. If I could takeoff the tow hitch and just have it made without that I would and then add it on later but I don’t know how to change my order.

How about talking to the owner? Make some stinky reviews about their laziness. Put some piss-poor social media reviews out there. Either they come around and treat you right and you can delete the reviews or you walk away with some satisfaction.

It sounds like the dealer wants you to walk so they can put some ADM on it and sell it.

Who's the dealer? It wouldn't hurt to share that with the forum so they won't treat others the same.

I'm ready to walk too, only my Oct. 2021 has not been scheduled to be built and might not be for a long time. Stuck in pc 10 hell. Loving the Mustang in eruption green though. Thanks for pointing this out. It's only a truck. A lot of us have been putting ourselves through hell to get this thing. Being down to only one vehicle that is falling apart while collectively my fiance and I have a nice sum of money to go get something now. Why go through this any longer?? Hope you enjoy the Mustang. Wish we didn't have such horrible snow here otherwise I would be there with you.

Could there be a variation in your name and/or address between the two orders? Some people posted that this caused the private offer not to show. Anyway, congrats on the bad ass Mustang!

No, blame your dealer. This has nothing to do with Ford. If your dealer didn’t properly COVP your original order, you do not have a private offer.

Also, Sheeny is horrible. I look for mavericks daily around the country and just more scummy insane ADM.

Since the cancelled order rollovers began in November I have done everything possible including holding the sales managers' hand. I got them to make the order changes and change the priority code to 10. I had then check my address and email on the new order (but they wouldn't let me look over their shoulder). I told them to contact their inventory manager. I verified order was Priority 2 through Customer Service. I verified NO P.O. through Marketing. I dove to the stealership every week to check up with the sales manager.

Today he calls me up and reads some lame ass email from the inventory manager that says he can't figure it out.

Anyway old news. My new eruption green "stang is more fun to drive even if it doesn't haul 1500lbs.

If anyone wants a 2023 Lariat Hybrid Atlas blue with 360 and hitch it is planned to be at Sheehy Ford Springfield Va around March 1st. I'm sure they won't be asking more than $10,000 over MSRP.

I know my order had a proper COVP - it was verified by the Maverick Customer Service expert Heather. Plus Tim Fordguy told me it must have a valid COVP to be scheduled and VIN assigned in 2022.
