Anyone installed an Oil Bypass system?
I called Amsoil support to ask an advise on oil bypass system for a single reason: i want to be able to change oil without going under a truck. I was ready to pay $300 for bypass system but according to sales rep at amsoil they don't have any option for ford maverick. I found this strange.
Are there any users on this forum that installed or thinking of installing an oil bypass system for Maverick Hybrid!? it is nice to have filtration up to 2 microns but main objective: I would like to be able to change oil filter without removing skidplate and going under a truck. there are many options for other fords f150, 250 etc. but nothing for Maverick? very doubtful!

Drive to the Ford dealership. Only work is lifting a credit card or cash out of your wallet. I guess I've got to a point in my life where I'll just pay ford or an oil change place and pay attention to what they are doing. I don't want to crawl under a vehicle, have to go buy the parts (spend time shopping prices), or deal with the used oil.

As far as better filtration I really don't buy into our vehicles needing that.

Why is it very doubtful that there is not a very niche product available for the Maverick? It is still very new in its life cycle.

I am with you. For the time and hassle it takes to change your own oil and dispose of it and the waste plus the get dirty aspect I am more than willing to pay the dealer (or your preferred local shop) to do a service. That way I can add in a tire rotation to help tire life and also not have that hassle.

With vehicles that have panels and such to remove, do they charge extra?

I keep forgetting that this isn't really a "car guy" forum, and that plenty of people here have no interest in actually working on their cars.

I change my own oil, occasionally get dirty doing it and dispose of my own oil properly. Am I cheap? Probably. But I don't understand paying $99 for a $12 employee to put $20 worth of product in my vehicle when I can do it in 15 minutes.

Yes, I'm interested in an Amsoil bypass system but don't mind pulling skid plates.

But then again, I like working on my cars and actually building them from the ground up. 🤷🏽‍♂️

dealer oil change is 2 hours for me + frustration. DIY is 15 min plus frustration for removing skid plate. i will cut a 3-4" hole in a skid plate to access an oil filter.

I keep forgetting that "car guys" come to forums just to make comments like this. It's almost as if there are all kinds of different people in the world. Some people value their time. Some people physically are unable to do it. Some people don't have the tools and good place to do it. Some people don't like going out in freezing weather to lay on the ground and get dirty. And some people just have the money to pay someone else because they can.

I hope you cook every meal yourself from scratch and never hire anyone to provide any service for you ever in your entire life. It must be very rewarding to live on a homestead and build everything from scratch.

Triggered much? Sorry you don't like or are incapable of working with your hands.

I installed an Amsoil bypass on a Mitsubishi pickup 30 years ago, that's the limit of my bypass experience. I'm sure you've looked, but do they have anything for the Escape hybrid?

Hey look, we got ourselves a cool daddio over here. He likes to work with his hands and has happening shindigs. But your aren't a cool cat if you don't change your own oil every time. But something is wrong with his truck because it appears to be dragging on the ground.

OP,
When I did my last change I was looking around for where a bypass could be mounted. Maybe by the time I need to do it again something will be figured out.

Overlooking one important fact. If you have an engine failure while using a bypass oil filtration system, and it is found you did not change the oil on scheduel or factory filter or that your plumbing effected oil flow to engine....you just paid for your own engine replacement. Warranty void.
