I've always had great luck with Ford/Motorcraft OEM wiper blades. I wipe them down every time I wash the vehicle and they last much longer. My Fusion is over 2 years old with 23,000 miles, still on original blades, they don't streak or chatter.

I found an option that was on sale on Amazon that works. The rain x silicone advantage. So far they're doing much better than the stocks.

Well see how they do in the next dumping of snow.

Rain X latitudes work fine. Just swapped them on last week. You need to take off a couple pieces but the instructions lay it out pretty well. About $16 a wiper at Walmart.

I've gone through 3 brands of windshield wipers and I still haven't found ones that will fit the stupid narrow PTB wipers arms.

Bosch - won't fit
Rain x weather beater - don't fit
Reflex platinum - won't fit

I just ordered a pair of rain x silicon advantage from Amazon because I've exhausted all options at the local crappy tire and Walmart.

Anybody have any suggestions on replacing the shitty factory wipers?
What does "PTB" stand for?

I have always tried to replace just the inserts not the whole blade. Not sure if Ford just sells the inserts or you have to buy the whole blade. Last time I changed a set I has to buy the whole blade from the mfg as they did not sell inserts. As for washer fluid not a fan of rainx, leaves a film on the windshield. I just get the inexpensive. Lue stuff.

The Michelin wipers at Costco fit.
About to throw on my second set of those. Pretty happy with them, especially in Fl. They’ve held up to the heat, rain, and love bug season. Also nice when you can pick them up for $7/blade

Thanks guys. I would have never figured that out. I've been changing wipers for 40+ years, and I've never heard that phrase or acronym.

I’m with you, never heard the acronym before. Also never heard of so much frustration finding decent wipers either. Can’t wait to get my Mav so I too can be frustrated. Haha….ha….

OP do you have a link to the exact ones that you used?

I bought a set of Rain-X Silicon Endura from Wal-Mart and they were close but no cigar. The adapter had a couple little shelfs of plastic that interfered, I tried to shave them down with a razor but then I ended up breaking the damn thing.

The OEM wiper blades work fine. I don’t see an issue with them.
My oem wipers worked fine until I improved them by putting Rainex on my windshield. Now they chatter obnoxiously.
