Anyone else have this issue? My new Bakflip mx4 seems to be leaking somehow from the locking mechanisms. Or at least that's where water is ending up and then dripping into the bed. It's not a ton of water, but enough to leave little pools in the bed. Kinda frustrating. I'll be reaching out to Bak, but was just wondering if anyone here has the same issue.

Have the MX4 installed on mine as well. Not sure about water entry. Never really checked to see. But, not a big deal right now, since I don't really haul anything. Might have to check next time I hit the car wash. Or it snows have d enough in the morning, during dialysis.

Could be running down from the gap in the plastic bed seam. Real Truck posted a YouTube video on weatherproofing.

I sealed those gaps up pretty good with peelable silicone caulk. I'm wondering if it's condensation since it was a really chilly day. I'll try get out there with a bucket soon and see if I can investigate and figure out how/if the water is getting in

Thanks, yeah I actually ordered this cover through him. I kinda wanted to see if I could figure out what exactly was going on before I contact them and see about a warranty repair/replacement if that ends up being necessary

I’m not sure of the corporate hierarchy, but Real Truck and Bak are all limbs of the same tree.

You realize that NONE of these covers are watertight right? On any truck.

I know. And I fully expect water to get in where the cover meets the bed in places. What I'm not expecting is the cover itself to leak like it has holes in it, if that is what's happening. That's unacceptable on a cover that costs this much imo

It definitely seems like all the major tonneau cover manufacturers and online retailers are the same company

Update time. After a few more rainstorms and investigation, water was definitely leaking into/through the aluminum panels/seams and then dripping through the screw holes where the locking mechanism/hardware are mounted to the underside of the panel.

I sent Bak photos and an explanation, and they're sending me a replacement cover under warranty
