The service department got there ass chewed out I can tell you that. Luckily I live 15 minutes away. This is one of those things you just can't get out of your mind...

I totally understand...tbh dealers shouldn't inform customers their vehicle has arrived until it makes it through the PDI process and is cleared for sale. However, a tiny bit of blame is on you as well (like a really tiny bit). You've been a member of this forum since June and didn't have any idea there was an airbag recall affecting (effecting?) vehicles made within a certain time frame? Luckily you only live 15 minutes away, and can visit your Mav often...

Actually what happened was I have a ecoboost that will be here next week. A hybrid showed up that a customer canceled. They called me because they knew I originally wanted a hybrid. As much as I read the forum I would have caught it. It just wasn't in the cards. Its not a sad story mine should be here soon but what a high then a low.. It's not just the Hybrid that has this recall, it's all of them. Depending on when it was built you might not be able to take that one home either.

They checked the status before I left. All good. This whole thing is just Ridiculous, just a few years ago you would have been able to go to a dealership, hagle a bit and pick out your color. Man have things changed. Thanks for your comments.

Buy the EB now and see if they'll let you put a deposit to hold the hybrid while it waits for parts. Once hybrid is ready for sale, sell the EB and buy the hybrid.

I have to say you're right on. My salesman is great and he said as soon as that part comes in if the market is like it is that hybrid is mine. No deposit...

The hybrid is the one to have. I've owned both now.

My hybrid XLT was built 9/23 and shipped 9/30. Took delivery 10/27 and had no problems. Like it more each time I drive it. Averaging 42 mpg in town short trips. Made color change to Hot Pepper Red just before production and glad I did. Very pretty in the sunshine and gets lots of looks driving in town.

Mine was built in July so right on the Cusp.
No Recall. # 69,xxx
