My exterior lights came on with key in my pocket

I have noticed a couple of times now that walking to my Maverick sometimes with key inside my pocket automatically turns on the tail lights and the front signal lights. Doors remained locked. Is this something new and can I turn it off? My Maverick has been acting weird lately ranging from Deep Sleep to exterior lights coming on unexpectedly. This thing is trippy. I have an XL so no fancy key fob or features causing this.

You might just be bumping the lock/unlock or panic alarm buttons with the key in your pocket, pressing either will cause the lights to come on briefly. Count yourself lucky, I get jabbed by the switch blade in my pocket at least a few times a week.

How long was the vehicle parked? Is it possible they never turned off?

Key has proximity effect. Truck begins to turn on when you approach it. Relays turn on gas pressure pumps etc.
