From recent posts, ford might actually build Mavericks on 11/4. Lots of fx4 4k builds

I really tried, very hard, not to check my status. But just before logging off for the day, I couldn't resist anymore. Now the newest answer from Ford: still "In Production" on 10/26, the exact 9 months after ordering.

Mine moved into “production” today on tracker but no window sticker yet.
Still Scheduled for 11/4 build.
Keep checking the window sticker link, it pops up. It took 2 days for mine to show its beautiful face.

What did Ford Customer Service say your CURRENT build date is. If you have an 11/7 build week and you are an Ecoboost you should get built. But the existence of a private offer certificate makes me skeptical...
I went back and did the chat window thing with Ford Customer Service to ask if 11/7 was still my build week. They said, no, my truck has been "balanced out" and my dealer needs to convert it to a 2023.

Seems like the window for doing that passed back in September, so I'm probably not getting the truck after waiting since January. I'm just about fed up with all the lies at this point anyway.

Yeah, I was under the impression they were going to finish building the Ecoboosts for 2022.

And the only option on my truck is the trailer hitch receiver. It's otherwise a base XLT. Makes no sense whatsoever. At least I'm not like some who were counting on getting their truck to replace a vehicle that was starting to require a lot of repairs. I consider myself fortunate to have a car I'm not having to take to the shop all the time. It's just annoying to deal with total incompetence with a company like this. If they'd just give a straight answer and then the next person say the same thing, it wouldn't be so bothersome.

I think Ford is going to convert you to MY 23 with top priority .
I could be wrong.

I'm confused. Did you have a VIN number? From what I'm seeing here you were just never scheduled. There were literally thousands and thousands of unfilled MY22 orders that were balanced out. Ford never said they would finish building all the Ecoboosts. Just the ones given a VIN number and scheduled for production.

I think the person is confused. Doesn't sound like there was ever a VIN. Plenty of Ecoboost orders were never scheduled.
Which person is confused? Me or the chat help who made that statement or someone else?

You're correct there is no VIN. That's prompted me to call Customer Service, then my dealer, then go back to contact them by chat today. If the 11/7 build date was still correct, I should have a VIN by now. Today was the first time I'd been told it was "balanced out."

Not sure where you had gotten the 11/7 date in the first place. If you had a production date you had a VIN. But if you were never given a VIN by your dealer or Ford my feeling is toy never had a real production date because you can't have one without the other.

If you did have a VIN that's something your dealer would easily see in the system and could have/should have given you at the time the production was scheduled.

During the one-week window to place orders for 2023 models, I contacted my dealer to do the conversion. The dealer called me back the next day to say it had been scheduled to be built the week of 11/7 and I didn't have to convert it to a 2023 order.

They did not have a VIN for me at that time, but said it should be assigned and I'd probably get an email from Ford in the next 2-3 weeks. Now that it's been 5 weeks with zero emails from Ford, I started asking questions today.

It's my understanding based on reading this group for the past 9 months and watching Tim from Long MacArthur's videos that a VIN is assigned when the build DAY is set, but people initially get a build WEEK, which is just an estimate. Then, they start getting emails pushing the estimated build WEEK to later.

So, I have never had a build DAY set, nor a VIN assigned. I only had a build WEEK.

Bottom line: you are wrong and unfortunately I think your dealer dropped the ball.

I received a VIN on 8/30 when my trunk was assigned to WEEK OF 11/7. You get a VIN at the same time your order is scheduled. My build week changed a handful of times before I received a build DAY last week. Regardless I have had my VIN for months.

If your dealer couldn't give you a VIN when you were supposedly "scheduled" that is a major red flag to me. Regardless it's all moot now. You aren't getting a 22 and you can't order a 23.
