Door Sill Protection Question

So I applied some PPF film on the painted surface of the door sills to hopefully keep scratches to a minimum. But I have a question and would like to hear suggestions/opinions. I also purchased some inexpensive rubber stick on door sill plate protectors. I'm OK with them but the question is will they stick well or at all to the PPF. Should I leave them off or stick them on?

I trust you cleaned the surfaces with alcohol prior to bonding. Surface prep is key to a permanent bond. I looked at the sill plates and saw a funny 3 (M M M) emblem on the backing tape, not a true 3M emblem. I would be a little suspect of that. Whenever I receive my Mav I will apply some 8 mil thick layout tape used in aerospace applications.

Yes, did the alcohol prep procedure. Its suppose to be 3M, it's just printed a bunch of times on the inside of the roll (unless my Old Eyes are deceiving me)

I've had that on some direct-from-China parts. I like to think their translator in the copyright infringement department took it a little too literally. 'Print 'three m' on the backing material? Okay!' thus M M M
