I ordered my XLT Hybrid Oct 29th of 2021. It was finally built the middle of Sept. 2022 and shipped fairly quickly. By rail it went from Mexico to Illinois(?). I live in South Georgia. From there, it went to Jacksonville Fl. by rail. Now for the last two weeks, it has been sitting in Jacksonville waiting for a transport.
This is the first new vehicle that I have ordered. So I have no prior experience to look back on. But this has been one process that I never intend to repeat. My hope is that the Maverick will prove to be well worth the wait. If I ever get it.
I scheduled in Aug 20121 and ordered Oct 9, 2021 and still have no scheduled build. Just remember it could be worse.

In ten days I will have waited a year. Order first confirmed on Oct. 26, 2021 but other than the canned emails from Ford, nothing. No VIN, no build date, nothing. Reordered as a 2023 and confirmed but back to waiting again. I wonder if I'll be writing this again this time next year. ☹
I’m with ya! Getting very close to a year for me too. Scraped the BAP that I really wanted from my 23 order because I cannot fathom waiting another year. Wish there was some competition in the space so we weren’t all in this situation.

Anyone who has waited four months has shown patience. Everyone past six months should be nominated for Sainthood. More than ten ? Schools and hospitals should be named after them. Even when I was a kid, a dinosaur saddle would arrive in six to eight weeks.
Lucky. We couldn't afford a saddle.

Well, so much for that. Where I live, we don't even have a Ford dealer in my county. I have to go to a county in the next time zone for the closest Ford dealer. Ford says that it is supposed to be delivered this week, but we all know how that goes.
Next time zone? Really? I know central Kentucky, that dont add up.

Remember, this is all stuff you never even thought about when you used to buy off the lot. Also, some areas are harder to get at via rail and stuff takes a while.

At least you will get exactly what you ordered. To me, the vehicle is extremely satisfying for that reason. No settling for whatever the dealer has.

When buying off the lot I often compromised, got a color that might not have been my first choice, didn't get something I might have wanted or had something extra I hadn't planned on adding. It all worked out and I didn't have to wait a year. I can be flexible. Patient? I'm working on that.

Mine was built Sept. 19th. No idea where it is now. Says shipped and my expected delivery date is this week. I sure hope so.
Same. I checked with the dealer about 10 days ago. The sales manager checked the status. Nothing to report update wise other than shipped. He indicated that the dealership was expecting several customer orders this week… including mine.

If that worked for you, that's what you should do. Custom orders require patience. In my case it was worth it. YMMV.

Don't worry, your Mav is close from arriving.
I ordered mine in July 2021, it has been in Jacksonville for over a week and is now in Orlando since mid last week. I am not worried at all, as after 15 month of waiting, a few days more is not a big deal.
The wait is almost over.
Enjoy your new Maverick.
You will have it soon !!

Don't forget we are entering the retail christmas period where their orders increase. More orders equal more rail cars equal the need for more trains. Problem is the rail companies have a limited number of crews so you will see rail cars, including the ones somebody's Mav is on, waiting to be included on the next train.
Same with the trucks.
