How does the tpms work if you want to swap to winter tires. If I get a set with the sensors to I have to re program it every time I change?

Got TPMS with the winter wheels I bought. Tire Rack says they will connect automatically with the vehicle once you put the tires on. No re-programming necessary. Since I don't have my Mav yet, I haven't actually tested this though.

I bought rims and sensors on Amazon, then had Ford dealership put on snow tires and the sensors and everything worked fine. Didn't have to do anything to get the sensors to work.

I have. My wheels and tires from Tire Rack worked seamlessly. Install and go. All good. New wheels and tires in 2 days was very impressive.

Thank you for your patronage! Much appreciated. Appreciate the kind words. Happy to hear that your tire/wheel purchase is meeting your expectations. Enjoy!

Just got my hybrid a little over a month ago. This is the first vehicle I've had that I've considered switching to true winter tires (always had 4wd so I didn't worry about it with A/T tires). Do I NEED to get new TPMS sensors? Is there anything I need to worry about other than the sensor light being on and having to go old school and check to make sure I have good pressure in my tires?

I have used these cheap Ebay sensors and have had zero problems with them. I believe any 315 mhz tpm's will work. The Maverick recognized them with out doing anything. Other than putting on new wheels and tires.
Here is a link: (Scroll down when you get there, several others at a better price)
