I have gotten stuck twice. The stock Continental tires are useless on any clay surface. Better hope it doesn't rain. Keep the vehicle moving or you will get stuck. Gumbo clay could really tear up the underside of this vehicle if you don't get stuck first. Personally, I am avoiding unimproved roads till I get some AT tires and even then it won't be much. The vehicle is too low.
Think the Tremor package solves it? Or, Tremor plus some 245’s?

I have thought about it. AT tires definitely. The Tremor package looked promising but it is not enough. If I spent a lot of time off road I would buy a Ranger and modify it.
Next week I'm going to Colorado and crawling over some 4 wheel roads in my old stomping grounds. I have a Jeep Wrangler lined up to rent. At $300 a day it is the prudent option.

Good thing in my favor is that I’m not really off road, I’m just on a ā€œsoft roadā€. No rocks to speak of in my area and no hard grade changes except the occasional washout. Slick sometimes, and ruts sometimes, but generally nothing too bad. My 4Runner is always loafing, but it’s so capable I just don’t know how much to dial it back with my next vehicle. Trying to save some fuel, lol.

I went from a 2wd 4runner to a Forester to the hybrid Maverick. The Maverick is less capable off road than either of the first 2 but it gets 36 mpg. I get your point. Washouts and ruts can be deceiving. When I got stuck it was because I over estimated the capability of the vehicle. I am much more cautious now.
