Sharing this in hopes it will help/reassure fellow January order holders just now receiving VINs and being scheduled for production. As I reported in a separate post yesterday, I received a VIN and a build week of 11/7 for my Jan. 25 order. Order specs are in my signature for those interested.
After confirming with my dealer (Koch 33 in Easton, Pa.) that my truck is indeed scheduled, we began to discuss the deal itself. I had signed up for the Farm Bureau back in July in hopes I'd be able to use that discount in conjunction with the protected Ford Credit finance rates at the time of my order. I forwarded the certificate I received from the Farm Bureau to the sales manager, and he checked in VINCENT and confirmed that the Farm Bureau $500 rebate IS COMPATIBLE with the protected finance rates in effect at the time of my order -- 0% for 36 months, 0.9% for 48, 1.9% for 60 and 3.9% for 72. This is great news!
So, my plan is to use the 1.9% for 60, and glad to get the extra $500 Farm Bureau money too. I put down a $500 refundable deposit at the time of order, so I'm already $1,000 toward my truck before it even goes into production!
Also, in case anyone else runs into this, I ALSO CHANGED MY COLOR today. My original order was Hot Pepper Red, but after seeing lots of photos of Cactus Gray trucks on this forum, that color become my favorite. I actually figured I'd be pushed to MY23 and maybe switch to the new Avalanche Gray, but after being surprised by my VIN, I told my dealer I really wanted to switch to Cactus Gray. He was hesitant at first, because he feared it could cause additional delays, but I told him @fordvideoguy assured me a color change is easy even after you are scheduled and can be done pretty much right up until the order is sent to the plant for production. So, he did it this morning and almost immediately my truck was updated in the Ford order tracking system. Screen shot below as proof. Just figured I'd mention this in case anyone else had some doubts about their original color choice and wanted to make a change. Don't be afraid to do that. I figure I'll have this Maverick for a decade or more. That's a long time to look at a vehicle and think you ended up with your second choice on color!
