To the troll who insists the Maverick is not a truck, I ask this: If another company built a vehicle, that had the same dimension (wheelbase, length, width, height, bed length) had the same payload (or even less), and even looked like the Maverick, but it was body on frame, would it be a truck?

By the way, Merriam-Webster defines a truck as:
1 : a wheeled vehicle for moving heavy articles: such as. a : a strong horse-drawn or automotive vehicle (such as a pickup) for hauling.

Please share your source.

While we're at it:

A bus is a separate vehicle from trucks, cars, vans, lorries, etc. It is not any of them
.A Bus is in a class by itself- a heavy vehicle for carrying multiple passengers. A truck is a vehicle for carrying cargo and a bare minimum crew.
Tour buses and recreational vehicles (RVs) are not considered commercial trucks

Looks like you're wrong there, too.

Is it a Cruck or is it a SUT? I think it's what happens when a Ranchero is allowed to breed with an F150!
Or how about an F 150 and a Bronco Sport :)

I'm still trying to understand why he is even on this site. He has no intention of buying a Maverick Truck unless they remove all the modern tech from it and give it a separate frame no power anything and a stick that is capable of "Jumping". Jumping what I have no idea but I've never felt the need to jump any vehicle I've owned. Pretty sure if you jumped a 1980 1/2 ton when new and damaged the thing you'd have voided the warranty. Reason for denial, jumping not intended use of veh.
He's only here to troll.
Waiting for the rebuttal.

OK, but why can't you acknowledge that by current definition, that the Maverick IS a truck? If and when the definition is changed, then maybe it won't be. But for now, it's a truck, regardless of how the MrLM002 dictionary defines it.

All of those people on Facebook declaring that the Maverick isn't a "real truck" can kiss my tailpipe. Sure, it's a smaller truck--but it sure does truck stuff well! Getting ~47 MPG doing it is icing on the cake.

I love my truck!

Oh don't worry, the "rebuttal" will come, and come, and come again. The "argument", as if there ever was one, was settled pages ago, right here in the good ol' Maverick "Truck" Club forum. For one thing, once you are reduced to word salad responses over the definition of terms, you have already lost. Beyond that, his points have been thoroughly debunked one by one. There is nowhere left to go at this point but lather, rinse, and repeat. Best to just let it go and not engage. Those who find themselves deep into cognitive dissonance won't be able to. And yes....that is a definite "Tell".
