I have 11,000 on my stock Pirelli's. I still have a lot of tread left. I will probably get around 15,000 plus before they need replaced. This is in South Western PA where they tar and chip every road.
Junk tires or not, unless you are driving like NASCAR or on very bad roads you should get more milage then you got. Those wore out way before 9,900 miles. If your alignment is OK something else is wrong. Kill them with kindness at dealer and they should work with you if they are reputable.
A friend of mine has a Subaru and his stock tires wore out at 20,000 miles. He went to the dealer and sweet talked them and they gave him 4 new tires under warranty. I don't know what exactly he told them (He is a kind person and overly nice), but without black mail I don't know how he did it.
