Just FYI, if anyone near Huntsville is desperate for a Mav NOW and doesn't want to wait, I was at Woody Anderson yesterday, they have 3. They were buybacks or backouts from customers who found one while waiting, I think, but they have a white XL, a cactus gray XL hybrid, and a sweet red Lariat.

I was there to talk with Chris Carter about an upcoming order, really nice guy, I got my first test drive of a Mav -- exciting!! Also first time I've seen a Cactus Gray in person -- it was quite overcast, storm moving in, I was so surprised by how dark it looked in that light -- I've seen it in some lights, online photos, where it's nearly white. This looked like a noticeably dark gray under stormy skies. I love the color, part of what I like about it is how the color changes so much depending on the time of day and lighting.

Woody Anderson is doing $1000 off MSRP, $399 doc fee + tax/title, apparently no BS at all, I grilled him about various add-ons and other BS I've been reading about, nope to it all, no issue with signed contract, COVP, price protection once order is placed, etc.
Do you kinow how much over msrp they are asking on the 3?

One marked up $7,750, one $9,500, and one $14,500.:eek:
Yeah, posted it because there are some people willing to pay that, obviously. I'm not, lol, but some folks are. And I've not seen that many in one place before, at least not around here. Honestly, don't expect they'll last long. That Hot Pepper Red one was sweeet! If I had that kind of money I would have bought it on the spot, wouldn't care what the price was. It was gawjus!!

I just got a smoking deal on a '21 tacoma, so I'm probably not going to be keeping this maverick. I'm in Huntsville area and am about to put some stuff in the for sale section I had accumulated to install once I got my Maverick. Good luck boys, my patience ran out.

Congratulations! Happy to hear you had a great experience with Lynn Layton. Enjoy the new ride. :)
Impressed that you (Ford M.C.) are following, I'll update you on my little 'ol dealer from Texas after my 9/5/22 build week if interested. Also, much respect to all of you folks in sweet Alabama.

Resigned myself to ordering a ‘23 Maverick, since my EcoBoost hasn’t been scheduled. Today I get a call from Woody Anderson Dealership telling me my Carbonized Grey, Lariat has a production start date for the week of 10 October. Called Ford customer service who confirmed date and also provided a VIN. Kind of bummed out that delivery will be around 22 November, by then ‘23s may be hitting the streets. Oh well, bird in the hand…

Hey congrats!!! And from what I've read, the 23 Mavs won't even begin production until late November, so MAYBE February early deliveries. You'll have been enjoying yours for months by then!

Congratulations! Now buy my drop in bedliner, tonneau cover, and floor mats to really dress it up!

Hey, any of you Huntsville Mav people, what'd your tag run for the Mav? Just curious how much of a shock to prepare for (my 14 year old Ranger costs $28!😄)

ALSO, anyone in Huntsville buy yours in another county, with a lower tax rate? I'm talking to Woody but also talking to Long Lewis in the Shoals. In Huntsville the tax rate is 4%, in Florence only 2%. But I don't know how that works when I go to get my car registered in Huntsville -- are they then going to demand the other 2% or do I only pay taxes where I bought it and that's done? Sorry, been a while since I bought new, and have always bought local, not sure how it works if you don't.

Those look nice. But do they provide any actual utility? The Maverick isn't exactly the tallest truck in the world. I had considered running boards but couldn't figure out why I needed them.

The boards look like Ionic curved nerf bars. Sold by RealTruck. If so, did you have any problem mounting the S bolts on the passenger side. How did you overcome the problem?
