It sounds like your dealer is going to place the new MY23 order for you, so they are on the ball. Whether it is 'automatic' or not is just semantics as long as it gets done.

But now its seems as if new orders are not opening until 9/15ish so at least that means everyone with a MY22 order will know whether or not they are getting scheduled for '22 before the order bank opens for MY23.
Yes, they have always been great. My salesman carried my info to a manager and they went to a designated person and spent about ten minutes on the computer and when my salesman came back he was very confident in what he was telling me (especially the priority change and possibility of seeing some 22’s arriving before my 23).
As far as myself, I am glad they are moving the order date to 9/15. Give them time to sort things out better. I thought that’s what most of us are mad about is the rushed ordering and late deliver. I‘d rather have late ordering and quicker delivery.

Good for you (and the other MY22 folks) but not so much for anybody eager for a MY23. Visited my dealer yesterday and set everything up including an appointment on the 2nd to sit down and actually enter the order. Guess that is not going to happen now. :):)

I was also told by my dealer that it would roll into a MY23 without me having to do a thing.
As I understand it orders for 2023's can be placed starting August 2nd. It is unknown at what time of the day orders can be entered but I am assuming not before 9am west coast time so those guys won't have a "gotta go to work early" penalty. There will be two kinds of orders placed one that has had a 2022 order and one that does not. Those 2023's placed that have a 2022 order AND ORDERED AUG 2 THROUGH AUG 15 will qualify for the private offer (the amount of $ may or may not be known at that time) and those "reorderd" will also be numbered in front of all new 2023 orders. This is why some dealers are going to reorder on behalf of their 2022's that do not have a vin number assigned. (I think). The reason they cannot "roll" the orders is because the packages will be changed in content (sprayin bedliner or???) as well as prices. Those 2022's not reordered by Aug 16 will essentially disappear, I believe. Ford cannot roll the orders because there is not an identical 2023 to roll into.
