From the email about the special offer it sounds like if you don’t get scheduled you need to reorder for MY23 but both dealerships I called said my preorder will automatically move to the next year if it doesn’t get scheduled. Does anyone know which is true? Thanks

Everything I have read or heard says you must place a new 2023 order.

However, some dealers appear to be doing that for you automatically. If so that might sort of be considered "automatically" but that seems to be at the dealer's option not automatically by Ford. So you would need to check with your dealer. Maybe twice. :)

Call Ford directly and soon. I have been told by Ford Marketing (800-334-4375) that the Dealer needs to convert MY22 orders to MY23 orders starting Aug 2nd and that the conversion process is not 'automatic'. If my order is not converted by the dealer to a MY23 before Aug 15th, it will lose the MY22 priority.

My Dealer was not aware of this and thought that the Aug 2nd date was when Ford would announce what they would going to do for the MY22 customers whose orders are unfullfilled. They did not realize they needed to do something starting that day.

I am going to my Dealer on Aug 2nd to go through the process, whatever it is.

My dealer told me today that I don’t have to reorder its automatic. But I’m going in Tuesday the 2nd any how.
Just don’t know what to think about how in the dark ford is keeping dealers in my opinion.
Guess I will find out next Tuesday. Wish me luck😎

Trust nobody. Go to the dealership and make sure.

I visited my dealer 3 weeks ago and was told my 04 Oct 2021 (Alto blue, Lariat luxury 2.0 AWD,,, well everything+ $40,000 MSRP) will automatically be renewed to MY23 on 02 August and go from a priority 19 to a priority 02 (hope that is good).
Dealer: Long-Lewis, Muscle Shoals, AL

I was also told Ford will do it automatically and not to get upset if I see some 2022’s showing up in the area after 02 August. He said they would not be packages.
I have purchased almost 3 dozen new Ford and Lincoln vehicles (almost everyone custom orders) from this dealer over the years and there has never been any reason to doubt them.

Hmm, the sales manager at my dealership said it will not roll over automatically. I MUST place a new order on 8/2, which is when the "special offer" is applied.

It sounds like your dealer is going to place the new MY23 order for you, so they are on the ball. Whether it is 'automatic' or not is just semantics as long as it gets done.

But now its seems as if new orders are not opening until 9/15ish so at least that means everyone with a MY22 order will know whether or not they are getting scheduled for '22 before the order bank opens for MY23.
