I would like to know for those of you who have swaped tires for the wild peaks, does the wildpeak fit in the spare boot? ( I am not intersted in carrying a mismatched spare tire). Ty

Just got back from the tire shop…..the Wild Peaks 235 65r 17 does not fit as a spare. Turns out there are jagged points that are part of the spare tire structure facing the rear of the truck that prohibits the tire fitting. I’m going to search out what the jagged points are for, cause in just looking at them, there is no immediate reason for them, save some engineering dynamics that are not immediately evident.I would like to know for those of you who have swaped tires for the wild peaks, does the wildpeak fit in the spare boot? That's...strange. I have a 245/65R17 Toyo Open Country III underneath my truck. No issues.Just got back from the tire shop…..the Wild Peaks 235 65r 17 does not fit as a spare. Nice, thanks for reply, it now makes sense why it’s there!I read in another post it's to puncture the tire in case you get rear ended. Supposed to help protect the gas tank.
There’s the answer to my spare tire issue; when my 235 65r 17 Wild Peaks wear out, I’ll check out the 225 63r 17’s. Thanks!Yes. I have a full set of 5 Wild Peak 225 X 63R 1 7 AT 3's. Spare fits fine
However , Ford will only give you 4 pressure sensors so if a sensor mounted tire
Is on the rack, you get a sensor error warning light and chime.
Good luck buying a 63 profile sidewallThere’s the answer to my spare tire issue; when my 235 65r 17 Wild Peaks wear out, I’ll check out the 225 63r 17’s. Thanks!
Got 40k miles to go before seeing what’s available (save what could happen)….Good luck buying a 63 profile sidewall![]()
