I would expect both of those tires to be as good or better than the Wildpeak AT Trail in the snow since they are 3PMS rated and have deeper lugs with more void area than the AT Trail.I might switch to the new A/T4W, or try a Goodrich KO3, even though i hear they're not as good in the snow.
So, if that's a serious concern, I wouldn't worry much. I bought a set of closeout 235/65-17 AT3W for $161 a tire. If they're still around you could do that also, if not, it's quite a bit more per tire to get a AT4W or KO3.
Ice traction is different. That's mostly about sipes and rubber durometer. I don't think you can guess about ice traction like that, but obviously anything that isn't studded is a crapshoot on ice.
