Somebody made 16s work I wanna say…. Maybe I’m wrongThey did try but would not clear calipers.
Supposedly the clearance is very marginal for 16" wheels. So 15" is probably out of the question.Somebody made 16s work I wanna say…. Maybe I’m wrong
Tire rack I believe had 16" steel very marginal but I believe the issues a recall for the ones they showed (who knows??). I think the ones that marginally fit had no more rating than 1,000 lbs (maybe for spare & emergency for light weight sedan?)Supposedly the clearance is very marginal for 16" wheels. I’ll have to look into it cause I’m having a tough time finding OEM take offs or aftermarket wheels I like.Somebody made 16s work I wanna say…. Maybe I’m wrong
Some Bronco sport owners are running 16" steel wheels and they use the same calipers. I think it just depends on finding the right steel wheels but I'm willing to guess that's as small as you can go.AFAIK 17" is the minimum size to clear the brakes
FYI I've confirmed that that Maverick uses a larger diameter brake rotor than the Bronco Sport and 16" wheels will not fit unfortunately. Both models use the same caliper, it's just the rotor size that differs.
You can "shave the rotors" but the calipers are still going to be further outwards (short of replacing the knuckles) and ultimately what needs to be cleared.According to this post from a different thread, it appears that the Maverick brake rotor's are too large in diameter to clear 16 wheels. I may check this out at some point and consider shaving a bit off the stock maverick rotors. This is putting the cart before the horse though, since I haven't put in my order yet!

Toyo AT 3 235 65 r17 fit look nice and work well. Very happy with them way better then the stock fx4 tires like night and day on loose stuff.I would love to find some 16s that fit. There just isnt alot of M/T tires in 17s that are small enough to fit the Maverick. I can get 31 10.50 16s all day long.
