go take a vacation and stop thinking about it for a bit. It will be waiting for you when you get back ;)
I would worry that they would sell it out from under you. Probably a needless concern I hope.

That is a concern I’m having. I hope they don’t try to add market adjustment pricing to it. I’m in a bad spot they know if I walk away it will be sold a day later. Ford chat told me they can charge whatever they want even on orders which just sounds wrong to me. I ordered this thing a year ago when I could have gotten 1.9% financing now it’s up to 4.5%. I wonder if I can get some special financing percentage because I ordered it so long ago?

It's a shame we have such concerns like this. Buying a car should not be this hard. Wait a year only to have the dealer pull stuff at the end.

I ordered my Maverick on 6 August of 2021. It was built March 15/16 of 2022. It was delivered by train to Portland, OR on 3 April of 2022, and there is has sat, 252 miles away, for over 3 months! Every few weeks Ford begins another email delivery letter with... "To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time before your 2022 Maverick LARIAT is delivered". I have received 13 such letters starting off like that. How in the h*ll can Ford expect me to experience this "COMPLETE SATISFACTION" by not even telling me WHY? I would have thought that Ford's policy would have been: 1st in - 1st out of their storage facilities, but apparently that isn't happening. Sorry to say it, but Ford has managed to suck the joy out of buying a new Ford :-(

Mine is arriving at the dealership next week. It’s only been a YEAR since I placed the order. Not sure what the hurry was. Hah!
Well, the week came and went without any communication from the stealership. Beach Ford is not one I will ever recommend to anyone. Clay is a joke of a salesman who’s one of those old school ‘sit back and let shart happen’ guys. He doesn’t have the motivation to even pick up the phone and call the yard - pathetic.

guess it’s time to engage regional management and start pissing people off.

So now my hybrid XLT has been sitting on a train car in PHX for 5 weeks waiting to be taken to the unloading and transport lot.

Sounds like all these Mavs trapped on train cars are hybrids, is that true?

Makes sense. Could be something to do with the new recall or the harness issue that is happening lately. If that’s true I hope they have a fix soon and get moving with it.

The Maverick I ordered has been sitting in "Train Jail Yard" for almost 2 months. Ford chat located it as being in a train yard outside of Houston.

The hybrid has been sitting on a railcar without moving in 100 degree temperature, high humidity and salty air for 2 months. Not sure how these conditions fit with Ford's two emails claiming the delay is "to ensure my complete satisfaction."

So, I just received another email bumping my delivery date out another two weeks “to ensure my satisfaction”. Since my truck is stuck in train yard jail and the id10t sales schmuck at the stealership says he can’t do anything about it, how does Ford know any sort of date? Oh yeah - they’re LYING!

And how exactly do further delays ensure my satisfaction? Unless Beach Ford in Myrtle Beach, SC believes pissing me off is satisfying to me.

I just got pushed back till August 6. The truck has been sitting since June 14th. This makes me very satisfied almost as much as a kick in the nuts does

You do have that protection. You need to listen to Tim Bartz, @fordvideoguy. He is a sales manager at Long Mc Arthur Ford in Kansas. Check him out on you tube. He has addressed your question. Sorry I don’t have the exact episode number.
