Sticky Dash

I just placed my hand on the top of the dash, above the speedometer, and noticed the dash is slightly sticky to the touch.

It is 95 degrees here in California today. My dash is always protected by a window shield when not in use.

I have had a sticky dash before on a Toyota 4Runner. Toyota had a recall, and replaced the dash.

I am wondering if anyone else in a hot climate has noticed the sticky dash.

Mine isn’t sticky but I did use 303 protectant on it and I had my windshield tinted with a clear tint that reduces heat soon after I got mine.

I’ve noticed mine to be sticky it feels like a BMW dash lol. However once the temp cools it returns to a normal smooth slick feeling. Might be some sort of reaction to the heat?

109 on inside temp gage (in texas). black part is sticky, blue part is sticky too and sunglass holder latch melted.

How much to tint just the windshield ? That dark blue dash/trim just absorbs heat like a brick out in the desert.

Yup 105 yesterday
By the time I get the interior cooled down it seems to get unsticky
The lariat will be getting ceramic tint on the windshield, hopefully that will help
