Sticky Dash

Just noticed that our Maverick dash is doing that, sticky when it's hot, then not when it cools off. I'm in the auto upholstery trade and we have been dealing with the Lexus / Toyota dashes for years.
I don't think the Maverick dash is made out of the same material. The Lexus dash material gets real soft to the point that you can scratch it with a fingernail, and they develop cracks in the material too.

I have not put any kind of dressing on the Maverick dash. I intend to try cleaning it really well with some of the pro cleaner that we use.
Then I will see if the problem continues. If so, I will be notifying Ford right away so it will be documented.

109 on inside temp gage (in texas). black part is sticky, blue part is sticky too and sunglass holder latch melted.

My E-350 Super duty Class C had a sticky passenger airbag. Had to wipe it down with alcohol and repaint it. It got hot on a 900-mile trip to St. Louis. It's fine now. I read that this is common on a lot of vehicles. Hope it is not on my Maverick.

Old post, but any update or resolution on this? Been noticing that my dash is sticky even in mild weather. Got an airbag recall coming up, gonna let the dealer know.

I’m having the same issue. Hopefully there’s some solution but so far seems none.

No solution. When I take in for service I will ask. When it is colder outside it is not sticky.
