In theory.....this is as cheap as you can go. Hybrid Front Wheel Drive.

This is assuming no further modifications to the base cost of the hybrid engine.

    $20,995
  • Options & Accessories
    + $0
  • Destination Charges
    + $1,495
  • Total MSRP
    = $22,490

Ecoboost bare bones would be $22,925, $435 dollars more.

Except that's for a 2022 at present prices. We still don't know what 2023 pricing actually is (and likely won't until August 2nd or thereabouts) so any answer to OP's question is, at best, a guess.

Except that's for a 2022 at present prices. We still don't know what 2023 pricing actually is (and likely won't until August 2nd or thereabouts) so any answer to OP's question is, at best, a guess.
Quite a few folks who do this for a living have indicated they think that base MSRP is the 2023 MSRP. For example, there was a price hike on 7/1. And then this current hike came not long later. It would be odd for Ford to bump the 2022 MSRP twice in a week and then bump it again a third time for 2023. The thought is that what we are seeing is 2023 MSRP. Not for the packages and options, but at least for the base/skeleton/no options MSRP.

I am not saying I know this for sure, but it does seem like a reasonable claim. They can mark up all the options and packages $50-$100 each to squeeze some extra out of us if they want.

The '23 pricing technically doesn't matter until near November when building those begins. Increasing the prices on '22 now means current production units for the next 4 months are invoiced higher so Ford can extract more money from the dealers to recoup increased production/delivery costs. Even if they're price protected for the end consumer, Ford doesn't necessarily pay the dealer all of that difference back.

Also there wasn't two price hikes. It just took a few days for the 7/1 price change to be reflected in the build tool.

wait, wasn't there a targeted price hike right after the 1st of the year? IIRC it didn't affect every trim level or option?

There were price hikes months back. What Darnon is saying is that there were not two hikes within the last 2 weeks. I was under the impression there were since the way they break it all down differs between a price sheet and how they break it down in the online builder. I've got a July 1 2022 (10 days ago) order sheet that does not match what you see today on the website. But I think if I did the hard math side by side, the numbers might match each other.

I believe that is what FVG said on his live show last Tuesday. What we are seeing currently reflects the MY23 increase, at least for a while. Order early and lock that bad boy in.

What I am thinking about now is what FordCredit will be offering for interest terms come August 2. Gotta lock that in as well as I can only imagine what interest rates will be in a year or so when my Maverick comes in. I am old enough to have nightmares of the Carter days and 15% interest rates. Doubt it would come to that, but many of us doubted it would come to that 43 years ago but surprise, surprise. I bought house in '79 at 11% interest. Now that hurt.

The whole July 1 price hike = 2023 MSRP theory is just that, a theory. I don't know if I believe there is not another one coming. But I don't believe it will go much above that $20,995 mark for the base model.
