What Steps should I take to order a Maverick this summer ?

#1. understand which options are in short supply and will delay your build
#2. You don't HAVE to leave a deposit, but most people seem to be doing so
#3. Make sure you get a copy of your order printed out from the dealer when you go in
#4. If you don't get a near immediate email directly from Ford after you order, your dealer may not have put it in properly
#5. Be prepared to wait. Some here have been waiting a year already
#6. Financing and trade appraisal will get figured out when you Maverick has been built and you are ready to pick it up.
#7. Check your local dealers Googles reviews etc and look out for them charging large markups or hitting customers with surprise markups during the delivery process. Avoid those dealers
#8. When you order get a signed purchase order saying they will sell you a Maverick at MSRP with no markups.

perfect ill add on.
9#Go bare bones , add tow hitch if you need one after you get the truck.
10 Find larger dealer who gets a decent amount of allocations.
11. Eco will be much faster. With recall on hybrids i think eco is better engine right now .

Almost certainly. This one isn’t even maverick specific. Very hard to get a hybrid right now

I will try and post this here since its about ordering a 2023 model. I posted a new thread that the date to order a 2023 has moved again to August 2nd from Aug 15th as I saw this on facebook. BUT my thread was removed they said its already posted YET I don't see it and cant find it via search. Anyone else here new order date if August 2nd? If you have a link on this please post it. I cant seem to find it.

Not sure why your gave this answer I own two hybrid vehicles. I guess my question is; how does Ford sell a vehicle when they don’t have enough hybrid engines

It appears that Ford grossly underestimated demand for the hybrid. When they were getting ready to launch the Maverick gas (in the US) was under $2.50/gallon. Average now is over $4.75 and higher in some places.
Note that the standard engine on the Maverick is the hybrid. They now have a much better idea of what the demand is and should do a better job next year. If you want the hybrid order the hybrid, just be prepared to wait.
I am ordering the hybrid, because that's what I want. If it takes a year then it takes a year I have no pressing need for a new vehicle. If you do need a new vehicle soon, well you might want to rethink this.
