When I was looking for alternative used vehicles to hold me over till I got my Mav, I looked at Avalanches and the amount of high (250k+) mileage were impressive. Those things must be tanks... but the mpg suuuuuuuucked.
15/21 not the best ….. but yea tanks

You might not think that this question is posted in the right category, but I assure you, it is.
I test drove a 2022 ridgeline while waiting for my Mav (still waiting BTW) and fuel economy stinks and the engine lacks pep. I don't think it's worth the extra $$$ at this time. Maybe the redesign will be better.

What, you don't think they'll be doing this to their Ridgeline?

Ten bucks says that truck will never see dirt other than when the guy driving it pulls it onto his lawn.

Gotta love those bro cruiser body lifts. Your differential and oil pan are going to smack a rock, but hey wheel wells should be fine.

I was looking at a Ridgeline when the new design arrived for 2017, at $29K I was very interested, by 2021 it was $37K & fuel economy had dropped by nearly 10% & I was no longer interested. It has more room than the Maverick in nearly every way, but I am very pleased with the Maverick & glad I waited a couple years.

2022 Ridgeline RTL-E got 18.2 mpg towing a 1500# trailer from Denver up to Vail and back.

My buddy has a 2019 ridgeline. If you want a nice crew cab midize and offroading isn't important it's the best option imo. Insanely comfortable and has all the creature comforts. Same mpg as all the other midsizers and will be super reliable. But it's really only a deal if you can fine one used and that's not happening anytime soon. If you want an offroader or a work truck go with the other options. If honda could make it look better and just get the price down a bit it really would be more popular. It's a bit lower but other than that it's basically the same size as the other midsizers functionally.

Look. Why do we keep comparing the ridgeline to the mav. The ridgeline is a more capable Midsize truck. Not in the same class.

We all went with the mav because of the mpg and most importantly the price.

We just got a Maverick as new shop truck....and we already have a 2020 Ridgline that pulls our toys to SCCA events. Apples to Oranges, the Maverick is smaller by every measure. So far the mileage is pretty much the same, I get low 20s with the V6 in the Ridgeline and same with EcoBoost 2.0 in the Maverick (I have a heavy right foot).

Lots more luxury in the Ridgeline, but I like the electronics and things like the Cruise Control more in the Maverick. The Maverick feels a lot lower and more sedan like, it feels obviously lower weight in the turns, looking forward to mods beyond the Magnaflow exhaust we played with last week.

We made our own springs and sway bar upgrade and exhaust for the Ridgeline, will likely do similar for the Maverick. But first it is at my Paint Protection Film guy getting the front end covered in PPF.

Awesome can you do a 1.2+ inch lift spring ? H&R seriously dragging feet on this :)

Not here- I spent 36k on AWD/Lariat/eco/fx4/lux- - I did not want a vehicle that is another foot in length, boring interior, less ground clearance, worse back seat space- etc. Honda makes great rigs (Looking at you Element) but just saying- Mileage and price weren't huge paramount factors in our choice- I wanted a Mav sized rig bottom line -

Not much bigger than Mav. Neighbor just bought a 22 black edition AWD for 50K. Mav is a better buy both price and size.

Neighbor just got a new one. At least they did away with the goofy angles sides to the bed. I'm sure it's going to be a reliable daily driver for him. He's a CPA so "boring" is right up his alley.

A decked out ridgeline will be over 50k easy. They start a 38k. The maverick is the one with the boring interior. I mean I love my mav but you can't compare the two. The mav is the poor man's truck. That's why I got it.
