Bodageta, see if they will look up your order code at the dealership. I had a similar situation, where the order code I had from my initial paperwork was changed and I didn’t know about it. I went to the dealership, asked to speak to the sales guy who handled my order and he got me the updated sales code, which then showed my order in the Ford system.

Thanks Porveytte. I’m a Corvette guy too. Owned 7 of them. Mostly 1972 - 1968 and 84s. Currently have a 89 Convertible dad bought in 96.

Thanks. I’ll ask. I did ask by text and they assured me it hadn’t changed.

So I sent a request to help by sending a message to ford on Facebook. This way I was able to provide proof of my order confirmation and other ford email which I could not do by calling the phone number. This has been my most successful action to date. They escalated it to the specialized vehicle reservation team and assigned a case number. They asked for additional info and contact info. They said to check back if I don’t have any info from them sometime next week. That’s all I had been asking for. In parallel yesterday I called the dealer GM. I also emailed all evidence of a confirmed order to the dealer GM. When I called he said the order guy was out yesterday but he would talk to him today and get back to me. Today the GM didn’t call me. I don’t know why he didn’t call me but maybe he had a good reason? I may go Saturday morning in person. I plan to as of now.

Lol. Seriously?

$4400 is jack shit in the context of running a car dealership. Peanuts.

Last place I worked (15 years ago) had 35 full time employees, an 8000 sf showroom on 5 acres. Our average car sales gross profit was $350k to $450k, per month.
No idea what service revenues were.

You think very small my friend. So an average of say 14.5% profit. Less go big ticket here buddy, (I doubt splash guards are a constraint item), that would be $220 in profit for the AWD package $166 in profit for the lux package. Could go on and on. If dealers are gouging for $200 of nitrogen filled tires they'll gouge for $220 dollars in AWD profit. Then lets say they have 20 orders for AWD packages they say not to delete, (I'll do the math for you), that's $4.400 dollars. Nope???
Yup

I went to the dealer today and met with the general manager and person who does ordering for the dealership. They tell me that the regional manager told them to cancel all hybrid orders because they would not be built until MY 23 if not yet scheduled. They have said ford cancelled the orders and they cancelled the orders. I never understood if they cancelled or not and I mean did they actually key in something to cancel my October 21 order. I asked why they didn’t tell me it was cancelled. Their response wasn’t clear but was generally that telling me wouldn’t change anything. I found out that my order number was chosen by the dealer arbitrarily and a combo of my month and year of birth (his choice) and that clears up why my order number never changed. I asked for a printout or copy of the mandate to cancel the orders. I was told no it’s just what the ford region Mgr said. The GM showed me a list of vin numbers on his phone. I asked was my Vin on there. He did he didn’t know (reality is I have no VIN as I was never scheduled). I told him they were scheduling production this week and wished I was part of the pool. He assured me that they would use the same order code and pass it on to Ford that I ordered Oct 21 when I place a MY23 order and that using the same order code should help (but Ford says they have no record of the order ever so I don’t see how that would help). I’ll withhold comments on the visit but I don’t think it moved me any closer to getting my Oct 21 order back. He said that ford rolled orders to the next MY with the bronco and had problems and learned from it so this time they are just cancelling the MY 22 orders instead. I’m not going to say whether I think the dealer comments are credible or not. I’ve seen nothing on the internet or learned nothing from my calls to Ford that would back up any of this. I bet @fordvideoguy would know. I still can’t believe 9 months of waiting is wasted. I hope things go better for everyone else. Oh, driving home there was a silver Maverick lariat in the roundabout. I was thinking, I did everything right, why did everything turn out wrong. I still have a case number with Ford for investigation of my missing order. Ill see if that gets me any where next week. At this point I just want my place back in line even if for MY23.

Find a new dealer and move on. It's over.

Per your numbers $12.00 profit from mud flaps worth $180, (or whatever the price was) that's approx 14.5% The same with one other item. But no worries. And NO I am not assuming they're all scamming. Mine certainly isn't for one.
Is it not true a dealer will make more profit on a $35,000 vehicle than a $29,000 vehicle?
straight from my DORA; Splash Guards, Molded, FRT-RR 180.00 168.00 (1st number is retail, 2nd INVOICE)

180-168=12.; 10% of 180 = 18. Like I said, the markup between invoice and retail they charge us is not 14.5%, and most all options on my DORA the markup difference is less than 10%. Chump Change. Whether dealer makes more profit on a higher trim level/spec vehicle is irrelevant here.

I ordered an xlt hybrid Oct 9,2021 with Fayetteville Ford in Georgia. I received an order confirmation same day by email from Ford. I also received a March 2022 email apologizing for constraints on my order. Last week I had the dealer change my color from silver to white. Today June 20,2022 I called Ford at 1-800-392-3673 to check status. They told me they have no record of my order. I provided the order code and sales code. They told me to call my dealer who said all hybrids had been canceled and he was sorry but it was because I ordered a hybrid. I’ve called Ford two more times. They say hybrids are not cancelled and they should have a record if I had ever had an order even if it was cancelled. Ford says they can’t elevate it for investigation etc as there is no order to investigate. I told them I could show evidence from the Ford emails. My dealer says I can order when the my 2023s open in August. So I’ve waisted 8 or 9 months. I’m not happy and I don’t know what went wrong. I had called Ford and chatted online in the past but possibly with the marketing dept (different contact phone number I think). So my question is has this happened to anyone else? @timbartz @fordvideoguy any ideas? I don’t know what I can do. My dealer is not willing to help. I gave my drivers license and followed up with Ford and received a confirmation email so I don’t think it’s ROVP or whatever it’s called.
Did you give a $1000 deposit? If so, I would talk to an attorney.

IMNSHO, Ford owes you a Maverick and owes you a HUGE apology for the scuzziness of that dealer and the way you have been treated. To not even tell you they cancelled your order is unconscionable. I wonder if they're just telling people they cancelled orders, and really just changed the order in some way that you can't track it and they get to sell the vehicle at a big profit. They don't sound credible, at very least. Please let us know what Tim Bartz says about any of this, and what you hear back from Ford this week. If you haven't heard by Thursday morning, call them back. Sending you good luck vibes!! 🍀

Boy is that disturbing and i didn't even order it.
Who regulates the industry?
since dealer said they changed the color to white then they sure did place some kind of order. right?
I was going to order in august. I'm not going to buy from ford. unless my mind flips a switch
gosh, i sure hope you get your truck order at the top of the list

No Deposit. I was doing the X plan discount if you know what that is

@fordvideoguy talked about me in last Tue video. He said most likely the dealer didn’t complete my ROVP and the order never got approved. But I would call Ford and I asked early on because Tim B warned us. You never know how much the Ford call in number people know though. Tim said they are likely just covering for a Mistake. I thought same but good to hear it from Tim. Ford did issue a case number to investigate after about ten calls but two weeks later nothing. I ask for updates and they have stopped responding. I feel it’s equally bad they Ford knew of my order as they confirmed it by email but didn’t bother to alert me or the dealer to correct it if there was a problem. The dealer said they didn’t tell me because what good would it have done to give me bad news and get me angry. I told them it was like operating a pizza delivery and running out of cheese and not calling the people you ordered but instead just cancelling the pizza orders. I’m going to lose several thousand dollars in the MY23 price increase pulse the other price increases this year already. Plus I’m still driving a 13 mpg truck 82 miles per day.
