Ford Email Question

While we were waiting for our Maverick delivery between order date of 06/21 and delivery in 03/22, we had received a Ford email stating something about giving those of us waiting for delivery of the hybrid engine models a few items for free. Included was something about additional cup holders and a few other items. We never received anything and I am curious if anyone remembers that email and received anything directly from Ford, since I cannot find the original email. Thanks.

I think it was Hybrids only before October. Most received the FITS kit at time of vehicle delivery at the dealership. There is a few stories about the dealer getting them later, etc.,
It is the FITS kit that they sell as an accessory, I think it retails for around $50.
FITS trash can, cup holder, cord holder, dividers...
I suppose to get one when or if I ever get my maverick...

From December My kit was in back seat on delivery in March

I picked up my hybrid on 12/18 but dealer wasn't aware of free FIT accessory kit. The original email I received from Ford on Oct 21st shows ".... As a special thanks for being one of our first Maverick Hybrid owners, we'll be giving you this really cool Ford FITS Accessory Kit after you take delivery of your new truck. ...". I just spoke to the Maverick NVST (New Vehicle Support Team) and learned a few things:

1. Kits will be sent directly to the dealership for distribution with buyer's contact information.
2. Currently behind, so some dealers may not have kits available. I wonder if Ford will give an another gift for this delayed distribution :unsure::)
3. Only early hybrid orders will receive the kit (sorry). She "thinks" those that received an official delayed delivery communication will qualify.


The person I spoke gave me a case number and will research exactly when the kit will be available. I'll post updates, once I hear back. In the meantime, we are loving the truck and the hybrid was worth the wait - perfect for city driving!

Not in each and every case, but in most cases it is shipped to your dealer's parts department, its package label coded with your individual VIN.

In my own case the package arrived there about 10 days after I first took the Maverick home.

It will probably be in the dealerships parts department. Will have your VIN # on the shipping label. It could have easily gotten misplaced.

I got that email on October 21st. It was a nice gesture from Ford. Although, I never got one. The dealer says they never got it and I called Ford and they are tracing it. But that was 2.5 months ago (When I picked up my Mav.) A shame it never showed. But, I really don't care much. I've got the truck and a trash basket and cup holder aren't going to make a difference at this point.

I happened to email the Salesperson yesterday about the fits kit. He emailed back and said the kit was in and just go to the parts dept to pick it up. So, 2.5 months after I picked up the Mav from the dealer the fits kit arrived. Wahoo!
