So clearly, anyone who ordered in June or July, and doesn’t have a build date yet, fucked up. Basically you’re on Fords Naughty list for doing everything right. You did exactly what they asked and waited out the delays.

Still, you haven’t been blessed with the joy of a scheduled build date. Something that almost seemingly makes you forget about the forever you have already waited with the promise of only a couple more months left.

No, you don’t deserve that pleasure.
Maybe you supported a smaller dealer.
Maybe you didn’t do your “homework”.
Maybe you trusted a salesman!!
Maybe your dealer sold it from under you already
Maybe you forgot to cover your basis by ordering 6 with every local dealer.

Regardless the Ford ordering system is clearly NOT TO BLAME.
Everything is clear as mud
All dealers get fair and timely allocations
All orders are filled by FIFO
No dealers will rip you off.
Constraint items have been clearly marked : paint, metal, chairs, lights, engines, transmissions, cables, batteries, copilot, SIBL, lux packages, regular packages, less packages, Oreos, cup holders, tires, wheels, suspension, quality, and people..

So the jury agrees that this is all fuckery from the customer, and not of Ford and their constituents.

@Ford Motor Company don’t worry I got this. Made sure these customers know who is at fault.

Seems like some folks think the other guy has inventory. Nobody has any dealer stock. All of the manufacturers are behind trying to get cars built. Heck, the local Ford dealer here pretty much has zero new inventory on anything. The larger dealer in Tacoma that I bought my wife’s car and did gather prep on my Mav typically has 300 new Fords per lot (they have a sister lot in Lakewood) they have about 60 per at the moment. Their Toyota dealer is the same.

My build was a HEAVILY constrained Eco, had it been a Hybrid I’d have no doubt still not seen it. As it was it took from September until a few days ago to get it.

I don’t believe this is some conspiracy to drive dealers out of business. Just point out the ones that have a full lot. Go on, I’ll wait.
That is exactly what I am saying. It appears that there are select dealers that have some and continually get some. Then there are those dealers that have not yet received even 1 allocation!

Good work on pushing your dealer to send you something in writing. Maybe he would have sold it to you for MSRP anyway, and maybe not. But at least this way you have the peace of mind of knowing you've got something in your pocket to push them with.

About the dealer stickers, etc. I pulled mine off the day I got the truck home and, maybe because it had only been on there a few hours, it was really easy to peel away from the paint.

I kept the dealer plate frame on for a few weeks to advertise for him (he was really good to deal with) but that was enough and it's gone now.
Ditto on the frame. After a few weeks, I'll put on my Ohio State Buckeyes license frame.

There is no excuse for someone who ordered in July 1 not to have their Maverick in their driveway by now.
I ordered my Mav. June 14 2021, my truck is showing in production and still waiting. Weather one does his home work or not it still is a crap shoot if and when you will get your truck. My build is an XLT with co-pilot 360.

dryheat..I was able to get my credit union to cover the total cost, it felt weird trying to explain to them that the truck market is wrecked. They want to sell you gap insurance and told me that my $34000 truck was only worth $26000! I asked by who's appraisal? They said they use JDPower. I thought the standard for 30yrs now was Kelly blue book, which states mine is worth $40000.

Since I bought it from out of town, paperwork was lagging, so I was getting nervous about pre-approval of my 1.95% was good for 30 days.

Everything has worked out since, now if I total it, that's going to get interesting on the settlement, I have had an offer for $36000. I will not settle for $26000, I declined on the gap insurance.

How in the world did you come to that conclusion from my post?

My dealer has yet to receive a hybrid in any configuration. Ordered my XLT Hybrid Lux on July 21. Other than being priority 2 forever, have heard nothing. I’m notorious for trading vehicles within 1-2 years from purchase. Starting to feel like “ I’ve owned the Maverick for almost a year “ in spite of it not being here. Sounds stupid but starting to get that need to trade feeling 🤪! !

Where did you come up thinking I was talking about dealer inventory? We are discussing retail orders here, and the manner in which they are being scheduled!

IF it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck. I call it a Duck!
I really did not see any responses to your opinion that says it "walks like a duck" or "quacks like a duck". Not sure it is really a Duck. No FOWL response, please!!! :)

It might not be a Duck, but there is definitely something FOWL about this situation!
