Would anyone be interested in a Lincoln version of the Maverick?

Just for fun I was got to wondering what a Lincoln version of the Maverick would look like? It's not something that I think Ford would mess with until parts shortages get under control, but what kind of features and such do you think it would have? What prices points? Do you think it would sell well, or just end up like the Blackwood?

There are some who complain about the plastic being cheap and scratching easily, so I imagine more durable materials would be one area that would be improved on. Better infotainment system, advanced cruise control on most trims, their version of Blue Cruise on the highest trim level.

Ford will never cheapen the Lincoln brand that way.

I like the idea but Lincoln has a real identity problem, since the 90’s. In my opinion, one that doesn’t really lend itself to the practicality of the Maverick.

I would like to see an AWD, STX with a turbo-electric, hybrid power train!

Maverick is positioned to be an entry priced vehicle. Ford's thing is trucks. A Ford Maverick truck makes perfect sense for Ford's brand.

I can't imagine anyone at Ford corporate thinking a Lincoln-branded Maverick would serve any purpose. Lincoln is trying to reclaim its niche as a premium player. A re-badged entry-level Ford truck seems entirely off-brand.

Somehow I just cannot picture a Lincoln version of the Maverick. Perhaps a trim above the Lariat. Platinum would seem like a good choice to me......

Blow the dust off the Mercury brand and call it a Comet. :)
First big vehicle I drove was my mother's 06 Mercury Mountaineer, my parents still have it. It was a gas guzzler and the AWD/Traction control sucked in the snow but it was nice to drive. Recently the transmission Self destructed just like the rest of them.

The Santa Cruz is a “premium” small truck and it isn’t going over so well.

Learning to Drive. I want a Maverick, though.
Yes! Give it a chrome vertical bar grille, maybe a hood ornament...with a little work, the Maverick front end could look a lot like the Lincoln Versailles.

They been there, done that. Took an F150 gave it a lincoln badge, and grille, called it a Blackwood. It was nice, but a sales flop. Not sure they want to repeat that. Cadillac did that by taking a 4 door chevy cavalier economy car adding a caddy grille, some other caddy bits and calling it a Cadillac Cimarron. It also bombed.

I got the Buick version of the Chevy Trax and I'm very happy with it. Was a couple thousand more but better outfitted, sound deadening, different interior, grill.

the seats, the big screen and the 2.3L from the Corsair might tempt me. Cooled sets might just push it over the top
