What changes can I do without risking my extended warranty?

I want to tap into the dome light power circuit to power my Homelink mirror when the Ign is on. Am I running a risk? I will be splicing into the loom in front of the plug at the light.

You can't do any changes. None at all. Even bone stock they'll probably find a reason to deny your claim.

Not sure about the factual accuracy of the above statement but it does accurately represent my personal views on extended warranties :LOL:

Won't hurt warrantee. But if you fry the electrical circuit it will be on you to fix. Ford has to show it was your mod that caused the issue. So I've been told.

Well it should negate any warranty claim for domelight and it could impact electrical system totally if done wrong. I'd probably run a separate fused circuit myself.
