I once bought an extended warrantee for a 1989 Ford Taurus I purchased new. 6 years and 100,000 miles. During that period I needed a fuel pump, multi-function switch (turn signal) and finally at 97,000 a new transmission. The cost was $760 from Ford. It paid big time. So choose wisely.
