If your looking to enroll into Auto Pay your due date will be the day your payment is drawn. If you like to pay it earlier say it was due the 27th and you want to pay it on 13th you will have to do it manually OR change your payment due date to whatever date you wish. This will become your new payment due date.. Kinda, annoying you cant just put on it on calendar whenever you want it to pay it but not the end world.. Thought id let others know.. Keep trucking!

Used autopay with them for 6 years with no problems. Just had to make the first payment manually.
ok.. maybe ill try that next time. I did manually this time. So you were able set a date for auto pay and not have to change your due date?

Picked up our Maverick on 4/2 and understand that our first payment is due May 11th. How soon before your first due date did you receive a bill in the mail? Thanks.

Being preternaturally distrustful of sharing banking information online I am quite happy with writing a check, slipping it into the envelope, putting a stamp on it and dropping it off at the post office. Besides, as I don't have necessity to drive all that much anyway, round trip to the post office gives me an excuse to enjoy piloting the Mav.

Arrived in the mail here about a fortnight (no less, might have been a couple of days more) before the due date.

What happens if you want to double pay
I did not use Ford finance for mine. I believe auto loans are standardized to make them easier to assign or sell and are simple interest loans but check with your lender. If you mail a check or setup auto pay to your lender through your bank or s&l etc then the date the lender receives the payment is the date it is posted and if that's several days earlier than your due date then you will not have to pay interest for those several days. If you pay anything more than the payment amount whether it's $0.01 or $10.00 or anything that amount will be applied to your loan balance and you will never have to pay interest on that extra amount. If payment was generated by you then your due date remains the same day of month as originally set up but if you have the lender draft your payment from your bank then they will change the payment due date to that date you requested them to make the draft. In my case I set up savings account with my lender with payment drawn internally from that savings account. I then transfer $$$ from my bank to my savings account as often and in amounts that I prefer. If something happens like buying a honking item at a garage sale for $0.75 then selling it for $200 (it can and has happened) I might make an additional partial payment directly to vehicle loan account number from my bank account. In any case verify with your lender exactly how your loan payments will be credited.

I have always budgeted and paid using my online banking to pay loans. It seemed like Ford was a little late sending me my first statement, so interest was higher on it than between payment 1 and 2. I never use autopay and never use email statements. I have paper statements sent to me.

I always pay when statement arrives and never wait till due date to pay. Since I got the Maverick (Dec 16th) I have sold many items of old motorcycle parts and vintage stereo gear on Craigs List. Every time I sold an item, I used my online banking to pay Ford as little as 50.00 and as high as 4000.00 as extra payments.

When Ford sends me my next statement after paying extra it says, " no payment is due", but I pay my monthly payment anyways. On every extra payment I made they charge some interest since last payment. Like .24 one time .65 another time. Each time I log into Ford finance and the payoff date varies but usually Ford will add some interest if payoff is good for another 10 days. In 8 months I have paid 8 reg payments and 14 extra payments. I found some more stuff to sell this week so my Maverick could be paid off this month. So far grand total of interest has been 102.15 and I also have more storage room in my garage and shed.

When I had a payment for my Leased Escape, I didn't use Ford's autopay, I used my bank's. If I were you I'd do the same. Also, then you could send a payment say on the first of the month and the 15th of the month or double pay on whatever date you want through your bank. I always had mine pay 10 days before the due date.
