Seems to be the average price I'm seeing now. For awhile markups were 3-5k and now they've gone higher. Absolutely insane. I am VERY lucky to have gotten mine when I did for MSRP

That is just not right. $19K ADM for a BASE MODEL??!!!!!

Don't do it! Don't call them!

@Ford Motor Company : is this not a violation of the dealer agreement?!!!!

It’s used certified. Dealer can sell it for whatever they want. Even if it was new, Ford doesn’t care.

So this advertisement is for a USED one? With 122 miles. Most likely ordered but not delivered.

If true, then I stand corrected. But IF new, not true.

I know the dealers are hurtin' for sales, but $19K ADM is just too much.

It's a hybrid, think of all the money you'll save on gas! Not to mention the CPO warranty, which is very valuable on a car with high mileage such as this one!

Yeah, nuts. I just bought a new 2022 Toyota RAV4 XLE hybrid AWD for $36k out the door (taxes, tags, etc. included) with oil changes for free for as long as I own the vehicle. I still "overpaid" (by 2020 standards) by about $3k. I wonder which vehicle will have a better resale value in 2 years, my RAV4 or the $19k markup Maverick XL? ;)

The only good news is, if you do have the unfortunate luck of having your $23k XLT totaled in an accident that wasn't your fault, your insurance company pays you for what the going market value is/was. And for me, that meant paying me cash almost double for my vehicle's value, allowing me to turn the cash around and buy a Lariat this time. So while mark-ups are bad for the dealer lot consumer, it is good for the internet ordering consumer, as well as those who paid cash and got wrecked (and of course, good for salesmen who make all their living peddling 'lot' cars to consumers).

Perspective, perhaps.

How well did truck protect you? I imagine if rear ended, that’s a lot of crumple zones before gets to cabin tbh I havnt seen anything about crash ratings yet upon reading about mavericks

It protected my wife very well. Hands down, had she been in her 2012 Kia Forte, she would have been hospitalized. See link for original post about the wreck.
