Finally got a VIN and a build date!

I decided to call Ford to check in and see if anything had changed since the last call I had made over a month ago. I literally told the rep I wasn't hopeful when he said lets see if there's a VIN number, because I ordered a Lariat Lux with 4k towing and CP360. To my utter shock he told me not only was there a VIN but there was a build date of 4/25! I am stunned but beyond excited. Just had to share the great news with people who will appreciate it.

October 27th. Also the rep emailed me a $100 electronic gift card for Ford Merch because I am a loyal ford owner after I explained to him the other 5 ford I currently own.

I don't want to ruin your day BUT I have had 3 build dates so far 3/28,4/11 and the latest is 4/25 same as you and I ordered it a week before you so keep your fingers crossed.. you didn't get a email from ford??? you had to call?? good luck!!

It just bothers me that we need to call and ask what is going on. My opinion is Ford should email us our VIN when it is assigned, or when we have a build week. Why are we on our own when it comes to information about our orders?

WHAT? Ok, I'm calling them too... I went from a 1992 Ford Mustang to a 2005 Ford F150, then 2007 Ford Edge, and now 2022 Ford Maverick. I should get $50 at least, haha. I've had other cars of other brands too, but I think having this many Fords I should get something, lol.

did you give your dealer your email when you ordered the truck? did you get your conformation from ford that your truck was ordered? I got mine while leaving the parking lot of dealer. If ford has your email there pretty good at sending emails I have gotten 3 build dates and a vin hoping truck will be here in a month.

I don't want to ruin your day BUT I have had 3 build dates so far 3/28,4/11 and the latest is 4/25 same as you and I ordered it a week before you so keep your fingers crossed.. you didn't get a email from ford??? you had to call?? good luck!!

I have pretty low expectations as far as when it will actually get built. I have called once a month just for the fun of it and was ready to hear the rep say that its still being worked on but no vin. I am just more hopeful now that it will at least get built as a 22 and delivered hopefully in the next few months. And yes, I had to call Ford. I have given up on my dealer providing any information, and even though Ford has my email in their system for whatever reason they have never sent me any information on the order.

The next time you call Ford check to see if the dealer gave them the correct email address..
And forget about updates from dealer its rare. with the ford email you can follow the truck through the process and when you get your vin you can see your window sticker about a week before the build date.
